Our Dad is RAD!

Father's Day started early around here.  We got dressed quickly for church, decorated cupcakes for Daddy and suprised him:

Daddy and his three kids before church:
After church we moved our celebration to Carowinds.  This is the one ride Charlotte can ride "alone".  The kids take turn riding the baby jets with her and she loves it.  Today was Roy Austin's turn to ride with her and he took such good and gentle care of her.  He had her belly laughing on this ride:

I've always known her eyes are really blue, but this picture is crazy.  Her eyes are so blue it's almost strange!
We grilled out tonight and then gave Roy his presents.  Mom, while he was opening one gift he told me to go and get the "Quick Zip" to help him open one of the plastic packages. See?  We do use it!  Tell Daddy that it came in handy tonight:)

Not to make this post all about Charlotte, but she's just at a cute age right now where just about everything she does is adorable and picture worthy:)  Her new thing is shoes right now. She loves to try on all of our shoes and walk around in them.  Here she is with Roy Boy's...

...and here she is trying on Daddy's new tennis shoes:)
The kids each bought Roy a box of Hot Tamales (his favorite candy) and wrapped the boxes themselves:

We are so thankful for our Daddy.  Seriously, I know everyone says their dad is the best and I think everyone should think that about their dads.  I truly love the way Roy takes time for our children.  He plans his trips around their birthdays (and mine!) and their important school events.  He takes time out of his schedule to come to piano lessons, swim classes and being lunch dad at Caroline's school!  He makes our kids feel important to him and I know from my Daddy, that this is a feeling that will take a child through life.
Happy Father's Day, Roy!!!  We Love YOU!

What can I say? That was a beautiful post. I'm glad you take those kiddies to Carowinds every summer. They'll always remember that. Little Charlotte is precious...her blue eyes are mezmerizing. Looks like Roy had a pretty good Father's Day celebration, too. You had a full, beautiful, memorable day, and I'm happy for you.
