Mission Accomplished!

After waking up dry for many nights in a row, we finally decided to take RoyBoy to Build-a-Bear today to pick out his prize for becoming potty trained. For days he has been telling us that he was going to get a "boy Flopsy" (Caroline's Build-a-Bear is a bunny named Flopsy) and he was going to name it "Sponge Bob". Let me give you some back ground info here: We do not watch Sponge Bob at our house. Roy Austin was somewhere recently where he accidentally watched an episode and ever since then, he talks about SB all the time and he can spot his character anywhere in any store! He knows we don't watch him and that I don't like him, so he loves to say, "I like Sponge Bob, Mommy" just to watch me light up! He's a mess!

So, the five of us took off for the mall this morning. I think everyone in Charlotte was there today, because it was extremely busy. He would not look at the camera, but here is the big boy before he went in the store:

He needs a haircut desperately. When his hair gets like this, we call him "Mountain Boy". He looked at all the choices and then he spotted him.... the wolf. He insisted that this was the one he needed to get. Roy and I laughed, because it was totally him!

I love Caroline's face in this picture! She brought her Flopsy along, so she could give her a bath at the store:) She never asked for anything for herself while we were there, and she was genuinely happy for her brother--one of our family bylaws: Always share each other's happiness and hurts.

Out of all the clothes that were for sale, RoyBoy picked a good 'ol Harley Davidson shirt for his wolf and some black jeans. Should I be scared?? A wolf and a Harley outfit? We sat down to register his wolf and when it came time to pick the name, there was no hesitation....."Sponge Bob Graham". So, here is RoyBoy (after a long day without a nap) and Sponge Bob:

Okay...where did that name come from??? I am so glad you didn't talk him out of it. That is too funny!

BTW, I loved seeing him in that shirt! That was one of my favorite shirts on my boys! Seriously! That shirt is well worn! And it looks great with RA2's blues!

He is so cute......and I love the wolf! That is probably the one I would pick or a horse or something. Cute pictures and post. He is a mess but he is going to be such a blessing! Three wonderful blessings you have and I love all three so much.....And I found out my boys behaved much better when they had a hair cut. Have you found that out? It seemed especially so as they got older ~~ the longer their hair got the worse they acted. I reckon that is one reason the army shaves the head when the join the army!!!!

That's funny about the haircuts Jane. Donna, you think RA needs a hair cut. You should see Michael right now. I HAVE to get his cut ASAP!
I love that RA picked a wolf and it IS fitting for him. Perfect actually! His gramps would be proud too with the Harley shirt. What a cutie!

I got a chuckle out of the title of your post - hopefully it will work better for you than the former president's claim!

Daddy and I just got home from Richmond, and we read your post. So nice, and I'm glad RA picked a wolff. That's going to be all his, and he'll remember the day he went to make ol' Sponge Bob. The pictures say it all....he's really into the making of his "friend". What a little guy.....miss him, and all of you, sooo much!!!

What a neat treat for RA for becoming potty trained! He is too cute going through all of the steps making his wolf. I also love Caroline's face when they are washing their animals. Fun day!
