The Billy Graham Library held a Teddy Bear Tea on Saturday. Caroline went last year, so I'm thinking this will be a new Christmas tradition for us. This year, she got to sit with AnnaPreston.
Halfway through the tea, she spilled hot chocolate and was bawling. I was hiding so she wouldn't see me, but she managed to get the sweet hostess of her table wrapped around her finger. This kind lady held her hand like this during most of the show. Oh, Caroline.
Then on Sunday, we met up with Roy's family to go to the Panthers v. Buccaneers game! Corey is a Tampa Bay Buc, so we had to root for his team and not our hometown Panthers!
It was a COLD day in Charlotte, so we bundled up. We took Caroline with us and she ended up falling asleep during the last quarter.
And then on Monday night, the kids and I met Roy at the Operation Christmas Child Charlotte office for a kid's night of shoeboxes. It was a cute program that showed children how the boxes are distributed. Caroline made me laugh because one of the games was a relay race to see how fast you could organize a shoebox. She was so shy that while the other kids were running the relay, she was walking! She was the youngest one there so Roy helped her:)
Afterwards, the kids got to meet Bob and Larry from The Veggie Tales! It was a fun night...
...but it was more fun when we got home and Roy showed me what his dad sent us:
My sweet Father-in-law got Sarah Palin to sign a book to us the other week! So, as of tonight---after my children are snug in their beds---I'm going to sit down with a cup of hot tea and go Rogue!

Okay, didn't know you went to a Panthers game. And didn't know you had Jane's bday early. Cool on both of those two things.
And VERY cool of Franklin to get you that book! WAY TO GO FRANKIE!!!!! I want to read it too, but you read it first and give me your opinion.
Nice post. You DID have a busy weekend....looks like you had a great time with everything you did. The pictures are all so nice. I'm so glad (well, if you can't be close to us, anyway) that you live there in Charlotte where there are so many neat things to do....and nice friends to do things with.
Wow! You're so busy!!! I can't believe you didn't have a suite to sit in since Corey was playing. That's cool that you got to be there.
The Teddy Bear tea looked so nice and it's funny to see AP and Caroline together. They are getting so big.
It's nice that you got to celebrate Jane's bday with everyone too. Did you make that cake? It looks huge! I'm sure if you did that it was delicious!
Are you coming home this weekend?
Oh, and I forgot to mention the book! I want to read that book too so I'll let you read it first and tell us if it's that good. Cool on the autograph.
Paul's mom bought me that book! Mine's from Kroger and isn't signed. Ho-hum. I'm only in the first chapter. I'm sure you'll finish it before me. I can't wait to see what she says about "baby daddy".
It seems like Roy's work does a lot of family functions. That's is really great.
It's that time of the year--so many fun activities and celebrations. We went to OCC Family Day yesterday, but Kate didn't participate in a lot of it (too young)--but she did enjoy coloring and meeting some of Mommy's old friends. :o) We're going to a holiday tea party later this week. Fun times!
You are the busiest little bee I have ever seen. WHEW!!!! I will just live vicariously through you in my simple life of living at the school watching basketball games.
Cool about the book!!! What a good FIL. Did Corey get traded? I thought he was a Bengal.
Anyway, great post! I love all the sweet pictures of the kids.
Donna - do you know how much those pictures bundled at the football game remind me of my childhood?? My dad coached for the Buffalo Bills among many others. We would go to every home game - in snow storms and freezing weather!! We would bundle up in layers and layers of clothes and take blankets and hot chocolate. That was such a nostalgic moment to see sweet Caroline bundled at the game!
Blog about going Rogue - I'd love to know your thoughts!!
