*I am finding myself slightly addicted to Starbucks lately. I try not to go too often, but when I'm in Target or Harris Teeter, I usually end up at the Starbucks counter after I check out with my purchases. I don't get elaborate/expensive drinks, just a cup of coffee with a shot of peppermint flavoring as a special treat for me! It's one of my one indulgences I allow myself every so often. Here is the confusing thing, though. I get the same thing each time and each Starbucks has a different price?! I don't understand it. The Starbucks at the mall is very cheap for my drink, Harris Teeter comes in second place and then Target charges the most for my same 'ol cup of coffee. Strange.

*Yesterday when I picked Caroline up from school, she was holding some chocolate covered pretzel sticks that one of her friends gave her. I told her she could eat one when she got in the car and then I realized that if she ate one, Roy Boy would want one, too. There were two, so I gave him one. I knew better. Caroline ate hers without getting anything anywhere. I had to stop by the mall to pick something up for Roy and when I got out of the car this is what I found:

And of course, being the prepared mom that I am, I didn't have one wipe in my car. I am really bad about carrying diapers and wipes. I'm always forgetting them and Roy tells me every time I am playing Russian Roulette with myself! Luckily I had some napkins and a bottle of water. Chocolate was everywhere, though--even Caroline's coat, which he used to attempt to clean his hands. Dawn, are you sure you want us to stay with you this weekend?!

Bless his heart....he's one happy little dirty faced boy!! That was nice of Caroline to share her pretzel with him.
The girls and I just finished a "birthday lunch" with Dawn at La Carreta. She's anxious for you guys to stay with her. She's looking forward to a wonderful weekend.
HAAAAAA!!! I love it! I think I'm going to be in the same bot with you raising these boys. Today Preston managed to get not only into the presents, but was pulling the lights off of the tree!
Mmm, I'm gonna have to try the peppermint in my coffee.
I'm worried about that beautiful cream sweater he's wearing. You're the stain guru though. It'll be fine.
You are the blogging queen. I bought a bunch of baking supplies today and am ready to bake away. The boys and I are listening to Christmas music and stopping by for your update is like icing on the cake.
Have a super weekend and enjoy Maddie's performance. I know it will be tremendous and you will have a great weekend.
Father like son..........son like father!!!! What can I say? Roy was always a mess! His face was always nasty....and his cowboy boots on the wrong feet and his zipper was never zipped and food was always all over his face! .....and usually he had a snotty nose with a hat crammed down on his head.....and it was a grown man's business hat! He was the funniest kid. He was always quiet about getting in a mess too! He would get in the sugar and syrup at the same time! Sorry Roy Boy got those genes!!!!! Have fun in Lynchburg!
I could just eat that little RA up. He makes me laugh! I don't think you have to worry about him becoming a Liberace'. HA!
What a sweet little chocolate faced boy! Did you let Maggie lick his face clean? He's allllllll boy!
Oh my goodness. I have not commented on your blog in a while. Sorry. I am just catching up on all your posts and can see you have been busy as usual.
Do those cinnamon ornaments last year after year or do you make new ones each year? I think I might try those.
I love the post about going to the Library. I wish we lived closer so we could go there, it looks so nice. I love Roy Boy in his jeans and vest! I have never seen him dressed like that, but I think it really suits his ALL BOY personality.
That is the cutest chocolate covered face ever!
I have spent a nice bit of time catching up on all the posts I've missed lately. What fun this season has brought your way. I just love your family and love how stinkin' funny you are!
Have a wonderful Christmas season!
