The Anatomy of Sin

Here she is in all her glory: Triple Layered Devil's Food Cake.

Get thee behind me, Satan! Now I know why it's called "Devil's Food". This baby is sinful. The white part is a creamy vanilla filling. I sent a huge chunk with Roy to the office this morning and I indulged in a healthy piece for breakfast. More to come for an after dinner treat tonight.

Here is my helper making the chocolate frosting yesterday.

Get out - you did not make that yourself! You're the bomb! Nothing like a good piece of cake with coffee in the morning...breakfast of champions!

You've got cooking skills, decorating skills...what else you got up your sleeve?

Donna, that looks SO good! Feel free to send me the recipe, I don't have a good chocolate cake recipe, that's something everyone needs....tigsgrl@msn.com :)
Thanks

It's OK, Donna...You don't have to make excuses and give us the o'l "I sent a HUNK to my husband's office" line. We accept your indulgence and would do the same in your position. Actually, it has been made for 12-15 hours now and that is ALL you have eaten?

That looks really yummmy, Donna. I love the pic of Carrie Crocker. She looks too cute in her red VDay shirt and little teeny jeans!

Brian was here when I opened your blog and we just stared at that cake and went..."ummmmmmmmmmm"....

LOL, Kristi. She is sitting on my kitchen counter and chanting "Donna, Donna, Donna". Each chant gets louder and louder and I walk into the kitchen in a trance like state. I have to admit, I had a piece a little while ago!

Donna, I agree with everyone. What CAN'T you do? I'm so proud of all your little home maker skills, and the way you always do things so special for your family. Keep up the good work, Honey. Your little family loves you sooooo much.

Jenius, you are such a sweet and encouraging mother....Did they by chance mention to you that I have been adopted as the eighth Reber sister? Apparently two other people had spot 6 and 7. I was considering Demetrius, Donatello, or Delilah as my new name.

Well, welcome to the family, Kristi!! When the girls were growing up we always had a few extra peeps around the house. We were all just one big happy family. Our quiver is full!!!

WOW Donna! This looks like something that would be sold in Dean and Deluca. I bet it was DELICIOUS! I agree with Jennifer, this would be a great breakfast with a cup of Joe.
