Last night Roy was in Washington DC for a meeting so it was just me and the kids. I was kind of looking forward to bringing Roy Austin in our bed to sleep so I could just roll over to feed him since Roy wouldn't be there. I put both kids to bed early, watched Dancing with the Stars (by the way, I'm so glad that Cameron and Edyta are gone!!) and then went to bed. I decided to leave Roy Austin in his crib and hoped to get a decent night's sleep. Well, he decided to get up every 2 hours for some reason-- I'm blaming a growth spurt! But every two hours on the dot, I heard a squeaky cry coming from down the hall and I wearily walked to it. So, at 5 AM I was in his room feeding him and I heard a thud from across the hall and then a cry! Caroline fell out of the bed! So I put the baby down and ran in there to see poor Caroline in a fetal position in the corner crying. It was so sad! I picked her up quickly and calmed her, meanwhile Roy Austin started crying because he wasn't done eating! So, at 5:15 I had two kids up and crying! Caroline was still sleepy so I put her back to bed and hoped she was okay! I still can't figure out how she fell out of the bed. I brought Roy Austin in our bed to at least lay down while I fed him but sure enough, he was back up at 7 for another feeding!!!! I woke up at 8 to my husband's phone call and told him all about my fun night. Today when Caroline goes down for her nap, so am I!!!!!!

Donna, he is so precious! He has the cutest little face! Enjoy this time because it quickly goes by as you know with Caroline!
We haven't had one of those feeding spurts in a while, maybe at 5months she has finally outgrown them. Those are quick to wear you out. That is just surreal about you having both kids up crying in the middle of the night. Poor Caroline. Glad you heard her and comforted her. Nothing like a momma's touch.
Sounds like a HOT date! Poor Don Don. I'm sorry you had a rough night. Hope your nap gave you some power!
What a handsome little guy. He's already changing so much! I'm sorry you had such a rough night but it's all worth it in the end. It's fun to learn from you.
Awwww....he is so adorable! I think he looks a lot like your daughter! I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I can't wait until I get to get up in the middle of the night to comfort my little baby :)
