Saturday afternoon, in the parking lot of Red Robin, Roy Austin's umbilical stump fell off! I was changing his diaper in the car before we went into the restaurant for lunch and it was hanging by a thread! Umbilical cords really gross me out and make me squeamish, so I was so happy that it was finally gone. I don't have to be careful with the diapers rubbing against it any more and he can finally be bathed!!! I couldn't wait to bathe him because he was getting kind of crusty from the spit up and oily on the head---even with sponge baths! So after dinner, we gave him his first bath and he LOVED it! He didn't cry, pout, or anything. He just looked at me, so trusting and sweet. Caroline screamed during her first bath but she loved helping us give him a bath. She ran upstairs before we started and grabbed two of her bath toys for him:) Roy had double camera duty with the video camera and still camera. Here is some of his work---

Oooooh....so hapy to be FTC!! Donna, those are beautiful pictures, and you're beautiful, too. The whole time I was with you, I don't think I saw little Roy with his eyes wide open once! He really is getting so big already. Caroline looks like she's enjoying every minute of taking care of her little bro, too, Thanks for the nice blog.
Just catching up. Great post! His cord stayed on for a long time! Those are great pics and your mom's right...you look beautiful. The picture of the two squeaky clean sweet peas makes me want to cuddle up with them!

Looks like Caroline is LOVING her little bro. Donna, you really do look good. Such inspiration. I'm sure having to be a bridesmaid soon helps getting back in shape but you're doing a great job. I can't wait to see RB2 again. I miss him!
