Around 7:30 last night, Roy pulled into our driveway and I breathed a sigh of relief! When I told Caroline that Daddy was home, she started smiling and we both ran to the door. She got kind of embarrassed and started making her monkey face and acting silly. I had been telling her all day that when Daddy came home, he would tickle her, so I had to tell Roy to tickle her as he picked her up! She was so happy to have him home and took his hand almost immediately to show him her big girl room and bed. She was so proud of it! He took out his presents for the kids and showed Caroline her new slippers he got for her in Montana. He bought some for Roy Austin, too, and they're so cute! I remember when my dad would go on trips and we couldn't wait for him to come home, especially because we knew there would be some type of souvenir he'd bring us from his travels. Well, Caroline loves her slippers and couldn't wait to put them on this morning!
After 12 days and 288 hours of being a single mother, I was more than happy to have Roy return. It wasn't that bad keeping busy, and Caroline was very good, but it's nice just to know that there is another adult in the house that can give baths, have tea parties, color and do play-dough with Caroline other than me! So our family is complete again. My snoring husband was back last night and I was thinking that his nose surgery can't come soon enough! I am so happy that he is home, though, and so is he!

I'm glad he's finally home, Don Don! Those slippers are hilarious. I might see a Christmas card picture in the making. Did you get some too? LOL
He said he was going to get me some but then thought that might be too much...the whole family in sheepskin slippers?!
We're glad he's home, too, Donna. What about that 10 pointer? Is he getting it stuffed, or what? BTW, have you had any bites on the chipper? Daddy and I are leaving today and driving over to Pensacola. We've had a great time here...very relaxing and wonderful!
The 10 pointer is getting stuffed but it's not entering our house, so I don't know what is going on with that. No bites on the chipper yet. Sorry. Speaking of bites, Caroline's teeth look huge in that picture! I can't tell if it's her teeth or her pancakes she was eating! Her teeth aren't really that huge!
I'm LOL at the teeth comment. SHe does look like she has really big teeth. She looks like she's 3 or 4 in that picture.
I'm glad Roy's home too. Now it's the official count down until RA's birth! YIPEE!!!!
Those slippers are definitely from Montana..they are so cute, i can't wait to see a pic of Roy Austin in his. Alex bought his first rifle yesterday. He is going to take up hunting this fall! I never even knew he wanted to hunt when we got married. He keeps talking about having a "man" room to put all his "game" in. HELP!
oh and ps. I keep meaning to comment on the post about Caroline's first day of school. That picture of you and her at the door to her class is so precious!
I am trying to get caught up on the blogs. So Roy is home, YEAH!!! That was a long time to be gone. Love the slippers. Carol looks so cute. So Carolina! Tell her that Harry Jack is SO excited to see her next week. He keeps saying, "When we go mommy?" "On a plane to see Caroline and Uncle Leland?"
hahah! I told Caroline last night that Harry Jack was coming to see her and she smiled really big! Harry and Carrie...reunited again:)
Glad to see Roy's home. I love the slippers. Especially Roy Austin's, as they are so tiny!
Donna, I thought over the weekend you'd have a new post. You and Hannah are the queen of new posts. Can't wait to see what you'll write about next!
