Oh, and the shoes have a story, too. I went to a huge bi-annual consignment sale on Friday night and these little princess slippers were brand new in the bag for the bargain price of fifty cents. I wondered if I really needed more junky dress up clothes in our house for me to pick up, but then I thought of the happiness they would bring my toddler, so I splurged and spent the fifty cents. Well, when I showed them to her later that night, she couldn't put them on fast enough and then she didn't want to take them off! When we put her to bed that night, I told her she had to take them off and she literally cried the saddest tears! It was as if I had insulted her or something! So we let her wear them to bed. I went in to check on her after midnight and she was sprawled on top of the covers with her hands above her head and the slippers still placed on her feet! It was so cute, but not as cute as seeing a two-year-old try to walk and balance on heels that are about 3 sizes too big for her:)
We also had nice visits from our friends Kevin and Caroline Hay this weekend and then my parents stopped by for dinner last night on their way home from Florida. It was a busy weekend and it will be an even busier week. Two of my sisters are coming this Thursday with my mom for a little visit. Caroline is so excited to see her cousins, Harrison Jack and Margaux! And there is another consignment sale on Wednesday that I am going to go to, so I am excited. It's funny what makes your week when you are a mom:)

I'm SO EXCITED to see Caroline and you...and of course Roy too. You'll have to have Caroline work up a piece on her recorder for us when we get there.
You are BRAVE to buy a 2 year old a recorder! So how big did you rack up on Fri? Max had a breakfast on Sat morning and didnt get home till 12 so I didnt make it. :( Where is the one on Wed.?
I got some things. It wasn't as good as it's been in the past. The one on Wed. is in Ft. Mill and I've heard it's going to be good. I'm going to go around 9:30 or so.

I have BS at 10. Does it last all day?
that is such a cute picture of caroline! i'm sure that it's sweet sounds that come from her playing for you. :o) my nephew has been taking/playing the recorder for the past few years and he is in 5th grade now. i think they made all of the kids choose something and that's what he chose.....he's not into it as much as he use to be but there was a time when he had to play all his new songs whenever he would see us. lol!!
Hannah, the sale starts Wed. at 9 and goes through Sat. I just want to go on Wed. so the stuff will be fresh.
Ashleigh, that's funny about your nephew. I asked Roy last night if he could imagine having to sit through a recorder recital! That would be torture:)
Kay. Where in Fort Mill is it?
She looks so proud playing the recorder---adorable!
It's at the Fort Mill Armory? Go to www.foreveryseason.net I think? If not net, try com. It will give you all the details.
Caroline is the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!
I can still picture my recorder concert in 5th grade with none other than Mrs. Margaret Vaughn, top o' the living christmas tree, directing our little group in the T.C. Miller auditorium.
Caroline is too cute! She makes me look forward to those dress up days with Sarah!
Hannah- Maybe I could go with on Wednesday to the consignment. also, do we need to get a sitter Wednesday?
Laughing at the Mrs. Vaughan comment! I think we all remember her teaching us recorder. And she actually still teaches at LCA I think!! I really thought I was so cool playing the recorder. I remember being so proud of how quickly I picked it up.
Donna, it's way past time for another post. What, have you been busy or something? Just kidding! See you later today!!!!
