I do not consider myself a "crafty" mom. I like to do them, but when kids get involved, I get stressed out. I don't like messes. I don't mind cooking or baking with my kids, but I don't do play-dough, sand or painting. That's what school is for. So back in June when we went to Carowinds for the first time of the season, Roy Austin spotted the face painting station right away and begged us to allow him to get a big rattle snake painted on his face. I told him our annual answer and that it was a waste of money and that one day this summer, we would go to Michael's and buy face paint and I'd do it for him. I then quickly told him that it would be one day---not the next day or the day after. Some day this summer.
Well, some day was today. We found ourselves at a shopping center where a Michael's is located and so we found the face painting aisle and bought the goods---all probably for the amount of one face painting at Carowinds.
I know that these are "Pinterest Fails" but to my kids, I was a maniac with the paint brush:
| Here we have a scary snake. It is scary---but for a whole other reason. |
| Then we have a pretty rainbow and flower with glitter design. I have to say that the cloud did look kind of cool. I get better with practice. |

Wow, Donna, I hardly recognized you with your face done up. I guess the kids don't have a future in Mary Kay consulting!! RA and Caroline's faces look great, but I agree: the snake is very scary!
