Spring Break '13

Has it really been over three months since I've blogged?  That must be a new record for me!  I have to admit, after a long absence from blogging, it is very tempting to give it up but as my friend, Chrystal, recently said, if blogging is kept up, it will be appreciated in the future.  And pardon my layouts.  It's been so long, I can't get these picture layouts figured out.

So, I know it is tons of fun to look at people's vacation pictures, but here are some pictures from our Spring Break in Florida.  I almost lost all of these, since a certain little boy thought he'd help me out and clean my iPhone....by running it under the water faucet.  It took a week, but we got it fixed and no data was lost:)

Our first stop on the trip was to Ft. Myers, FL to stay with Roy's sister, Cissie, and her husband.  They treated us so nicely and were great hosts!  They are expecting their first baby in September and we are thrilled for them!  Our first day, they took us out on the boat to the beach and lunch--it was so relaxing.

At Cabbage Key--where Cheeseburger in Paradise was written!

Easter morning, the kids hopped out of bed to see what the Easter Bunny had brought.  Even baby Lynch got a little basket!  Cissie had a great lunch prepared for after church, too!

She found the "Golden" egg!  She could have cared less.

After lunch, we all sat around the patio and watched the kids swim.  It was truly a relaxing weekend!

The next morning, we left early for Orlando.  We headed straight to Downtown Disney for lunch and to look around.  This girl is a Lego Friends fan!

Roy Austin could play Legos all day and be happy.  When he went to the Lego room to build, the big guys intimidated him for a second, and then he got to work building his own creation.

As we waited for our hotel room to be ready, we went to see the Peabody Ducks march back to their room for the night.

Here they are waddling down their red carpet!

We were in Orlando for Roy.  He had a work meeting there all week, so we just came along, too!  Tuesday, we were able to slip away to the Magic Kingdom for the day.  It was B-U-S-Y!

There is a new Princess section to the MK, that includes a Beauty and the Beast interactive story.  It's a cute attraction!  Each child gets a picture with Belle at the end, and their name is announced by a castle attendant.  When it was Roy Austin's turn, he got so embarrassed and took off running back to our bench:)

Here is her face when she saw the Princesses in the parade.  We have now entered the princess stage--her favorite is Ariel:)
He was tall enough to ride Space Mountain this time!  He loved it, but I held onto his shoulder the entire time....I was so worried he'd fall out!

We passed a dance party and I looked back and saw Caroline doing the "D.J. move"???  She is normally so shy...I was surprised!

One night we went with Nana to see the Cinderella cast for dinner.  Our cousin, Rachel, came along, too.  It was such a fun night!
Our favorite was Anastasia...she was crazy!

I truly enjoyed the lazy mornings.  Roy would get up and go to his meetings, and we'd stay in bed sleeping, then hanging out at the hotel pool.  This all made me very excited for summer break!

At the end of the week, Grammy and Grandaddy came!  The finale of the week was a celebration of the 100 millionth shoe box for Operation Christmas Child.

This one's for you, Dawnie....Michael W. Smith!!  It was a great night of celebrating and hearing wonderful music.
We headed home the next morning, at 4:30 AM, with some worn out kids:)

Keep blogging.....with the things that happen around your house regularly, you should have much to talk about. ILY
