When I picked Caroline up from school yesterday, she had the biggest smile on her face. Her class had their awards presentation yesterday and she got the award for "Good Reader". She told me she was shocked when her teacher announced her name for that category. You would have thought she won an Oscar....she was thrilled! And then she said "Mommy! The school gave me this book in my book bag and it has my picture in it!!!". Yep, she got her yearbook yesterday, too.
She also carried that thing around the house all afternoon. She studied it and studied it some more. She knew where every one's picture was, who was who's brother or sister, and she knew every page where her picture was. It was so cute to see her first time reaction to a yearbook. When Roy came home last night she could not wait to show him her award and that book that had her picture in it!
This morning I went into her room to put some laundry away and found this in her bed from last night...

Just catching up on your blog. This post made me smile. I love that she slept with her award and her yearbook. Can't believe she already has her first yearbook too. Wonder if she'll write things like, "so petty" next to the pretty teachers and girls. hahahah
