RoyBoy's Sparkly Whites!

I wanted to get the kids' dental appointments in before school starts next week, so silly me scheduled them for 8:30 am uptown Charlotte!! I woke my two up bright and early this morning and off we went. This was Roy Austin's first appointment and I didn't know how he would do. Let's just say one little boy did not want to sit in the examination chair, so his Mommy had to sit with him and coach him through his cleaning:

The hygenist was so sweet and let him hold all the tools before she used them. He hardly opened his mouth, so his cleaning was interesting:

He loved holding the tooth cleaner the best (by the way, my son is OBSESSED with his silly bands!!!):

While I was sitting there with RoyBoy, Caroline asked me to take a picture of her. She literally sat there like this the whole time:
He loved his strawberry-flavored flouride cleaner, but he couldn't have any water for 30 minutes after the treatment...

So while we waited for the dentist to come in to check their teeth, the hygenist let Roy Austin play with the suction straw. He sat there and sucked on that thing for about 10 minutes and then his mouth was bone dry, which led to him crying and whining for water! By the tinme the dentist entered the room, I was very ready to get out of there.
He picked out a cool mini-monster truck from the prize box and he told me he would go back next time. We'll see, next March!

Wow, you must be at a pediatric dentist. My children would not be seen by a dentist until they were 3 1/2.

Good for you for getting all this done before the baby!

Doing the GR at the dry mouth after sucking on that thing for 10 minutes. I guess that would result.

And Caroline--FUNNY! She is growing up!!!

I'm laughing at Roy Boy's silly bands. That boy has a ton and it's funny he's obsessed with them. I bet it keeps him entertained though.
The pictures made me laugh too of RB's face. You can tell he was a little leery of all that goes on at the dentist.
