Christmas 2009 Part 2...if anyone cares

My camera battery died the night we got to Lynchburg, so my pictures are few...some of them I stole from Denise's blog:) We had a great time in Virginia, spending time with family and just basically relaxing. Caroline knew there were presents at Grammy and Grandaddy's house waiting for us, so the second we stepped into the house, she went searching. I made the kids get their pajamas on first, and then it was Christmas #3 for us:
Every Christmas, I try to get a cute picture of the kids in their matching pajamas in front of the tree. This is the best I could get this year:

Roy Boy got a boy doll---Woody. He loves to sing the song "You've Got a Friend in Me" lately and he's into cowboys and guns:

Grammy and Grandaddy got Caroline a princess scooter. She was so excited when she opened this. She yelled, "Merry Christmas, everybody!!!"

This picture is kind of blurry, but here is RoyBoy and Wyatt playing with Roy Austin's new train set:

Here is a picture of sweet Michael, who was mad about something:

Roy and I missed the annual Christmas Eve dinner and an adult only dinner at my parent's house over Christmas, so Daddy made another one for us on New Year's Eve. My family really enjoys eating! When we're all together for a holiday or on vacation, we'll be planning lunch and dinner while we eat breakfast. Any family occasion involves a feast:) Anyway, it was a delicious meal, as always. That night was the big UT/VT game. Dayna, my oldest sister is a UT grad and Leland, my BIL, is a VT grad. Let's just say some serious rivalry was going on in the house. Leland even went to watch the game at his cousin's house so that 2010 wouldn't be brought in with any regrets:
Dolly, Dawn and I went to Target after dinner with Teecy and Kim. Nobody was there and we were able to get some good deals. When we came home, it was time to par-ty!

I made up a game for our family, Family Feud style, about current events that took place during the first decade of 2000. It was funny! Here is Dolly and Denise facing off:

Caroline was wired that night. At 1:30 AM, when I woke up from falling asleep on the couch, I made her go to bed, too!
And what's a good party without good desserts? My niece, Maddie and I got a nice dessert bar together on New Year's Eve. Look who I found sneaking a buckeye brownie (thank you, Kristin, for this delicious recipe!!!!):

This girl loves to snack. Teecy, you're going to kill me but these pictures were hilarious! Teecy is the 6th Reber girl. She and Dolly have been BFF's since birth so I've known her since I was born. I can always count on her to nibble away with me--and trust me, a lot of nibbling has gone on in that kitchen over the years:)
Okay, now I think I'm finally caught up on my blogging. Phew!

I don't know why, but the pictures of Gibbler make me laugh. The thing is, she loves to snack but she is a heath FREAK too!

just one question, why does gibby have to be the brunt of every joke?

Our family is all about the food too...but SOME of us PAY for it, if you know what I mean...I will be at Zumba tomorrow!
