He was so cute, he was so enthralled with the candles. He blew them out on the first try and we cut that cake open. He LOVED it and kept grabbing for more.
I had just taken his highchair outside and hosed it down that afternoon. By the end of the party, it had icing caked all over it! Check out RoyBoy's hands and face!

RoyBoy's Birthday--Mainly for Family:)
The Birthday Fairy paid another visit to our house on October 26th. Roy Austin awoke to a room full of balloons. He must know that RoyBoy loves Elmo and was having an Elmo party!! Actually, we woke him up because Roy wanted to see his reaction to the balloons before he headed to work:

I think Caroline was more excited than the birthday boy. He just woke up and was a little dazed and confused.
At lunch time, Roy Austin found a new way to eat lunch. Because it was his day, I didn't get mad at him:
At our home, the birthday person gets to pick the menu for dinner. So, I made Roy Austin's favorite meal homemade MAC AND CHEESE! I made chicken nuggets to go with it. He had two helpings of the mac and cheese:) He was ready to get the party started!
Don't laugh at his Elmo cake. I thought I had some piping bags at home to ice his cake, but when I went to get them, I didn't have any! So I had to ice the cake with a spoon. Elmo was looking a little blurry, but RoyBoy didn't care!
Next it was present time. Caroline gave him a Buzz Lightyear umbrella since they fight over her Barbie "brella" all the time:
He got a Little People Airport set which he LOVED (so did Caroline)...
...and the grand finale was a huge ball that you can get in and roll around. Little did we know that there were about 20 valves to blow up! The kids loved it and it was so neat to see their reactions. I even got in it and rolled around!

It was a nice evening celebrating our little Roy Austin with just our family. We made a very sweet memory.

Again! Another great party! Your cake looked amazing too Donna! You didn't need a piping bag. It turned out great!
RA makes me laugh in all the pics of him eating cake and especially the one of him eating his breakfast with his feet on the table! It's almost like he knew it was his day and he could do whatever he wanted. He's so funny!
Love the big ball! I'm sure that gift was a hit and still is. You're a great mommy
Wow--I am so impressed with your cake skills (spoon or not)! Here's how I make a cake: "Hello, Publix Bakery Dept.? I'd like to order a birthday cake, please." LOL! Way to go--everything looks so fun. Happy Birthday to your little guy!
I think that cake looks fabulous! I love a good 'ol family birthday. Where'd you get the Buzz umbrella?
you did an awesome job on the cake. I remember waaaaay back when , When I used to make the cake too and now I am just like Karen, calling the local bakery. and that ball cracked me up! It made me think of the balls you put hamsters in. I could put Brody in that and he would roll all the way to other side of the earth without stopping...too too funny! I will be checking that out, his bday is in December.
What a fun day!! I like your tradition of the Birthday Fairy...how fun to wake up to a room full of balloons. :) Maybe the fairy will visit me on my birthday?!? You did a great job on the cake, Donna. That ball looks like a LOT of fun!
Where did you get the ball? I would love to have one for our Children's ministry at church.
Rose and Heather, I got the ball at Target after their summer clearance. You can check the websit, but I doubt they have them because it was a summer toy.
I want to see a picture of you in the ball!
Looks like a fun day for RA. I love a good family party.
Love that boy and his many facial expressions! Looks like he got the hang of being the birthday boy. :) You did him up RIGHT!
Thanks for the info on the ball. My target had some so I got one and we tried it out today and had a blast with it! I never would have know what it was, so thanks.
That child kicked back eating his lunch...so funny and cute! Donna, that cake looks great...you're silly.
Max's birthday is Tuesday and I may just have to steal the balloon idea...he would love it!
