MJ

I'm so glad I ran with the papparrazzi tourists at Epcot seven years ago when we were there and MJ and his entourage walked passed us. People went crazy and I ran with them with my camera. Roy thought I was insane--and still does-- but look at the memories I have now of Michael!

I have to say, although I thought he was a strange one, I'm kind of sad that he died. I was in the second grade when his song Bad came out and I remember my school teacher singing it under her breath as we lined up to go somewhere. I heard her and thought she was SO BAD for singing that! I remember telling my sister, Dolly, because I just could not believe that my teacher--at a Christian school--was singing a Michael Jackson song!!! Oh my goodness!
Like Rose, I have a few of his songs on my ipod on my workout playlist and they do make me run a little faster when they come on! Regardless of his life, he was a music legend. My personal MJ faves are PYT and Billie Jean.

Oh my goodness! What a clear VIVID memory I have of this day.

For some reason that day Danny and I went to go make reservations for all of us at the French restaurant in Epcot while you guys did something else. On the way back to meet you guys we bumped into the MJ crowd. We were so excited that we couldn't get to you guys fast enough to tell you MJ was in the park...and alllll that time you had already scoped him out and got pictures. So funny. Gooooood times, goooood times!

I'm laughing at this memory! Donna, looking back, I would have been right there with you chasing him with my camera but I was too busy trying to be too cool and act like people like you were rediculous. I mean really...he puts his pants on the same way we do. hahahah! That's great you still have those pics. Good post!

Oh, and also laughed at the Mrs. Aldridge story. I remember you coming home from school telling me about how your teacher was singing that song and couldn't believe it either. What sweet, innocent and sheltered girls we were. ha ha ha!

Wow - what great pictures! I am sad he's gone too. What a sad life he had for such a talent. I hope he's at peace now. Only God knows.

Embarrassing! Didn't he have a song with the lyric's "I've got a feeling, somebody's watching meeeee???"

That song used to FREAK me out when I was in the sixth grade. Well, it was a two way freak out for me. That song combined with the "Thief in the night" movies Mom and Dad made me watch.

I was SO freaked out that someone was watching me, that I wore my bathing suit to get a shower every morning before school. I thought for sure someone from those Thief in the Night movies was watching me from that window in the bathroom of the 3819 Fort Ave house.

I know, I know, TMI!

Also, one more thing and I'll be done...

Isn't the boy beside him with the blonde hair one of the boys that pressed charges against him for...shhh(said in a small quiet voice)...molestation?

Denise! LOL!!! First of all, I can't believe you're saying "Freaked". Don't you hate that word? Second, Theif in the NIght movies were S-C-A-R-Y. I think I rededicated my life about 10 times while watching those things. I can still hear the music.

And you wore your bathing suit in the shower?!!!

And yes, the boy beside him in the blonde hair is the same kid who said he molested him. See? I have some valuable pictures.

If I remember the story correctly...Danny and Donna were 20steps in front of me (because I was pushing a stroller - go figure). All of a sudden a HUGE crowd was walking the opposite direaction and I saw so much rucous...then realized what was going on. I was SCREAMING up to him "Danny, it's Michael Jackson!!!" He looked back and DJ went crazy with the pics. Good times...Priceless Pics...THRILLER!!

That picture actually looks good of him...I mean, well, before he went totally crazy with surgery and began looking really alienistic. He looks happy at least. I'm so sad about him dying. I don't know why it's affected me so much. I guess just knowing he died a very sad and lonely, self conscious person.

I know this sounds "BAD" but my favorite song is Black or White. I have it on my exercise playlist. I also like The Way You Make Me Feel!

I know..I so sad. I guess it was part of my childhood. And Now that he is gone I just wish someone could of reached out to him. Maybe...me! Ha ha Just kidding. That was a joke.. really..
My favs are "rock with me" and and "don't stop till you get enough". Its a good cardio song. It goes on forever but good beat. Okay...I will quit acting like a crazed psycho fan...
I just hope his kids can have a normal life just like Lisa Marie..ha!

You girls are hilarious!!!!! I'm just glad you made peace with your souls watching "Thief in the Night". I always was afraid that I didn't say "all the right words" in the salvation prayer and that if I missed a phrase I might not make it in. GOOFY!

I am so sad for MJ's kids. They have been raised in a non-normal, bizarre world. I heard one commentator say that they were isolated from people and other kids and that they will have a very hard adjustment into the "real world".

Donna, I forgot about your MJ encounter at Disney. WOW!! You should've sold them to TMZ for some bucks.

Rose, I have Don't Stop Till You Get Enough on mine, too!

Girls girls girls...I wish you could have seen the "scene" outside the dining room at camp the night MJ died...some of our staff was doing the "Thriller" dance (the 13 going on 30 version). Now, you need to know the rest of the picture...
The lady in charge of cleaning just drove all the way from Penn. with her daughter and 8 of her daughter's 12 kids!! She went to rescue them from a menonite cult.
(abusive husband/father)

So picture the children in their long hair and dresses standing around watching the staff of a christian camp dancing to MJ music...and for shame, some of them had shorts on!

I will try to sneak them in to some pictures on my blog! They are VERY nice-all the kids! The mother can sew like nobody's business too!! The two older boys moved into the boys dorm and are working on our staff and getting along great. They are learning to swim, and their Mom even let them wear swim suits for the first time!!
