A Fancy Nancy Kind of Day!

Tuesday morning, Caroline went to a Fancy Nancy party at our church. Our church has the most creative, talented and sweetest preschool coordinator who does an excellent job at everything she does. She planned this party for the preschool girls and, once again, she did it up right! They learned about calligraphy, monograms and becoming a girl after God's heart. Caroline was SO excited about going, although she had no clue who Fancy Nancy was. We need to buy the book, I guess!!

When I went to pick her up, the girls were finishing up their tea party. She got to sit by Caroline Drummond (or as we call her "big girl, Caroline") so I know that made her happy:)

Look at all these cute girls! They look like a bunch of little old ladies!! They lunched on petit fours, finger sandwiches, fruit and punch. Miss Debbie had a monogrammed handkerchief for each little lady, too:

Each girl had to bring their favorite baby doll with them to dress up. Looks like they had fun playing with them. Bitty Baby is face down in the long, white dress:)

Here they are getting lined up to go take a group picture. Look at sweet Caroline with all the big girls:

Isn't this cute?:

She looks JUST like her Daddy in this picture:

And in this picture, she looks just like me when I was little. I used to make this face quite often with my tongue sticking out, when I got shy or embarrassed:

Caroline LOVES this hat. She wears it when she plays baby dolls now. She even put it on yesterday to go run errands. I had to tell her to leave it in the car "so nobody would want to take it".

Here is all the loot Caroline was able to take home. It looks like they had a fun and busy time being Fancy like Nancy:)

What a fun morning! They all look so cute in their dresses/hats/boas! That's great that your church has fun things like this for the younger girls.

So so cute! Caroline does look so tiny - is she small for her age or was she just one of the youngest there?

You know, I asked a friend of mine (who has a 5 year old girl) what I should give as a birthday gift to girls in Max's class or neighborhood who invite him to their b'day parties...she told me the Fancy Nancy book. So, I have literally bought that book 5 times over the past year. It's really cute and the little girls seem to love it.

Oh, saw your FIL on Greta last night. Now, has Roy ever been to North Korea with him? That would be scary but so interesting to see - I can't imagine what life is like over there - so horrible.

So adorable! Debbie always continues to amaze me with what she does for our children. What a sweet thing for Caroline and all those precious little girls. Thanks for posting the pictures - saw a lot of my little Sunday School friends in there. They will remember this day for a long time.
