My new guilty pleasure? The Millionaire Matchmaker. Have you seen this show? It's about a Jewish lady named Patty, who owns her own dating company. She finds matches for people--but they have to be millionaires. She's being called the modern day Dolly Levi (the main character in Hello, Dolly for all of you non-musical lovers) because her match rate is 99%. The show is mindless entertainment, but so funny and it sucks me in each time I scan the guide of the control and see it there waiting for me on Bravo. Patty is a little on the trashy side, but she's honest and she says the things you're thinking. And her comments are hilarious! She says funny things randomly like "Don't cry for me, Argentina"(another phrase from a musical!!) when one of her clients is whining about something stupid, and she uses Jewish words and phrases throughout her show! Like I said, it's mindless entertainment, but I have to admit my heart skips a beat when I'm watching TV alone and it comes on. There was a MM marathon on this past Friday and many of the episodes were watched during the kids' nap time:)And as you know, I am a big LOST fan. This show just fascinates me and I can't get enough of it. Tonight is the season finale and I can't wait!! Next season is the last season of the series, and although I'm sad about that, it is about time for the show to come to a close and give us the answers we deserve! Each Wednesday night after Roy and I watch the show, we lay in bed and try to figure out what is going on. We'll lay there in the dark...all is quiet...and then all of a sudden, one of us will say something like, "I know! I bet...." followed by our theory. Each week is a new revelation, and I still say that the show is based on Christianity somehow. There are just too many similarities, like the use of "316" throughout some of the shows and the idea of destiny, faith, believing, sacrificing, etc. If there was some LOST discussion group that met in Charlotte, believe me, I would seriously join it. I would love to throw a LOST dinner party to watch the season finale for all of our fellow LOST fans in the Queen City, but then it wouldn't be fun to watch the show because everyone would be talking. See? I'm a serious fan.

Chad and i are HUGE Lost fans too. We never miss it. Chad's best friend Robby comes over every Wed. night and watches it with us and then we all discuss. If someone has a revelation we pause the tivo and talk about it. Were kinda weird about it. I was sad it's ending but I have so many questions, like what happened to the kids on the flight?? The little boy with the teddy bear?? His sister?? Where are they? :)
I know where Caroline gets it from!!!! You are soooo funny! Enjoy your shows....love you
I've seen that show MM on Bravo before. That Jewish lady IS funny. The girls trying to be matched up are so trashy but interesting to watch. It does kind of suck you in.
Still not a fan of LOST but it sounds like a good show. It's too late for me to get into it now.
i LOVE to watch the MM!!! although, i must admit that i don't know where they get her 99% rating? have you ever paid attention to the end of the show where they give you an update. most of the time, it says things like "Don and Karen have not seen each other since their last date and are now pursuing other possibilities." i think i've only seen a handful of shows where it actually said they were still dating. regardless, i am enthralled by the show. i think i just enjoy seeing what kind of dates the filthy rich enjoy :) she is brutally honest, isn't she!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Millionaire Matchmaker! She is so blunt and funny. Some of those millionaires are SCARRRY and NASTAY! You know those girls are just into them for the money. I also like all the different "real housewives" shows on Bravo. Those poor ladies are just plain desperate, but they are so entertaining to watch...do you watch it?
I have almost given up on Lost. I am so frustrated with it. Each Wednesday night i get all mad because they open up a new story line without explaining the last one. I always say to Mark "Thats it, Im done! Not watching it anymore" Then I am always back for more the next week. the producers know how to such you in.
I don't watch either of those shows, but I can say ... if I am watching a movie or TV ... then please do not talk to me. Silence, please. Tanna is very thankful for the DVR b/c he is a TALKER, and the DVR allows him to rewind anything so I can hear what I missed when he was talking.
YES MM is hilarious. I love how blunt the lady is. Corey and I have been sucked into the nonsense many times! I only see you sitting on your couch watching MM. LOL
It's a good thing I don't have the BRAVO channel - MM sounds like something I would be intrigued and enjoy.
You know I am a LOST fan to the core. I have to sit in the quiet when I watch it to secure I don't miss anything - and, yes, still miss little hints.
We are major Lost fans over here, too! I can't WAIT to see the finale!
I'm seriously trying to make the effort to get into LOST for my husband who is a HUGE fan. I had Netflix send me season one and I sat down to watch it and FEEL ASLEEP, who does that? So I will repeat the process over the summer so by next season I will be all caught up and enjoy the final season with him. I know I should get wife of the year award :)
Im at a lost for words for LOST! Don't understand that show.
I have never seen MM. I need to watch it. Now I have the song Matchmaker Matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof in my head.
Okay Donna...how about that season finale??????????
Poooooor, sweeeeet Juliette, she made the ultimate sacrifice for love!
And Jacob...Wow!
I saw the guy who plays Ben on the Bonnie Hunt show and he is Hilarious! (not at all creepy like Ben!
I hate that we have to wait so long for the answers!
Inger, I thought it was a great season finale. I'm just SO MAD that we have to wait until next February for the next season!! It's crazy.
I can't decide if Jacob is good or bad. Oh, and that ship at the beginning of the show is the that slave ship that was in one of the earlier episodes, I think. And I think Richard was originally on that ship. Also, did you notice that at the beginning, Jacob was in white and the other guy was in black? Again---good vs. evil? Roy told me to stop reading into it too much!!!
My guilty pleasure...Millionaire Matchmaker! I love the spoiled millionaires and what they expect from a mate. Hilar.
Most everyone on that show is so trashy that it is funny that there are still people like that...especially in LA (the boon docks maybe). Glad to know I am not alone in this!
The houswives are funny too! Where do they find these people!
Donna, you're my kind of TV girl. I've seen that show several times and the rich guys are always so NASTY and CHEESY!!! Oh my goodness, you could not pay me enough money to date those guys...yuck, yuck, yuck!
Like I've said before, I'm not smart enough to watch Lost...me dumb.
Jason and I love LOST. We have found all the obscure sights on the web full of extra videos and theories about the show. I'm sad it is ending but you are right, it needs to end so that there are answers and not just year after year of more ridiculous stuff.
So - who do you want Sawyer with - Juliet or Kate? I'm a big lover of Juliet!
