I have to admit that I am not a fan of Jon and Kate Plus 8. I was in the beginning, but the constant nagging that Kate does towards Jon and the chaos in the family drives me crazy. After I'd watch an episode, I'd be stressed out because of the noise, the drama that Kate provokes and how mean she is to her husband! There is no respect or love there whatsoever and it's hard to watch.
So, I got an email this morning from People.com--I kind of like celebrity gossip, so I get an email when any breaking news happens!!! The mystery woman who Jon's been seen with lately is coming forward to say that they are "just friends". Isn't that how all affairs start? Supposedly, this 23 year old woman is a friend of both Jon and Kate's. They all hang out in groups, but she has been hanging out with him recently. She goes on to call it innocent, saying she was photographed driving his car because he recently got a new one and she is in to cars and wanted to drive it. Huh? I'm sorry, but COME ON, JON!!! You're married with eight kids! Don't put yourself in these situations and you won't have these issues to deal with. When you are married, you don't hang out with the opposite sex alone, no matter if you're good friends or not. It doesn't look good and it's not right! I heard a preacher on the radio the other day say that the minute you start hanging out, spending time with, or confiding in the opposite sex that is not your spouse, you have stepped over the line. I just read this too...I visit People.com very often. Funny how she felt the need to call up People Magazine to clear the air. He definitely doesn't need to be out "clubbing" with a wife and 8 kids at home and definitely doesn't need to let a girl who "likes cars" test drive his car...puhleeease! Although, maybe this will be a wakeup call for Kate but something tells me he's just going to get berated even more because of this. They need to get off TV and focus on their family!
It is very sad too me that this poor family is having to deal with this in the public eye! (Granted it was their choice). It is hard when a father has an infidelity or "friend" that the family has to deal with!
It is funny how you all have stretched my mind...I haven't looked at things in depth and just took things face value not thinking too much about it, but when someone brings this kind of stuff up on a blog I think about it. It makes me go hmmmmm.
I have always thought Kate was just a military mommy. Just has to be straight forward, no nonesense, to run a large family and every now and then I would think that wasn't nice to say, but you have a very good point!
On the other side of the shoe...having Daddy Bill...It really sucks that you can't have a somewhat normal life when you have a "public life". I can remember going to Denny's with Daddy, it was about 4 or 5 grandkids alone with him (very rare), and all these older Black Mtn. ladies came over and took up his time. We literally didn't get much time with him b/c they wanted to talk, talk and talk. Even though he should have said something I do think that the public needs to have some knowledge when it is appropriate to approach and when to back off. Oh, well. Thank you sweet Jesus that I will never be famous! I like my private life!

I agree 100%. I used to LOVE that show in the beginning and now it makes me SICK! I agree with Jane that they need to get off TV! But something tells me they wont be doing that anytime soon. Their kids have turned into absolute brats. It is sad. Kate is so rude...and she needs to fix the one side of her hair! :)

Interesting post Donna...I think this family needs to get..well, their family back and get off the tube. Ugh....I think now she nags him b/c It's almost what the viewers expect..does that make sense? It's almost contrived.
Interesting. It's sad when you think about all of this, really. THe whole thing - their family on TV, everything. IT's sad.
Personally, I think Kate shows a complete lack of respect towards Jon - not that being shown disrespect is a reason to hang around girls or anything!
You would think with their family being in the "public eye" so much both Jon and Kate would make a real effort to not even give the appearance of an affair,etc.
The fact that he's even hanging out and letting a girl test drive his car is pitiful.

Did you see the pics on US Weekly? It looks like they are outside of a hotel. Besides, what married person all of a sudden hangs out w/ a member of the opposite sex as "friends" w/ someone they've known for 2 months. You just don't do that.
I haven't watched it since they moved into their new house but his filandering is gonna be the demise of J&K+8. Someone told me that he said this was their last season on a recent episode b/c of what it had done to their personal life.
