???

Roy and I teach 3 year olds in Sunday School every other Sunday. This morning, this is an actual statement a dad made to us as he dropped his son off at our classroom:

"Sorry we're late. He had bad diarrhea this morning. That's why I'm dropping him off. His mom stayed home to clean it up, but he really wanted to come to church this morning. I brought an extra change of clothes and some wipes with him in case he goes again".

Huh? Roy and I just looked at each other as the dad went off to church. Bad diarrhea= don't come to church!

Whoa!!!! You really should have told that dad that you couldn't take that little guy if he had diarrhea. That's a health hazard to the other children....he/they should have known that. Did you have any problems with him while he was there?

I'm LOL! I can picture ROy's face on that one and you trying to be sweet yet catching Roy's eye. Hope that coffee you made doesn't get to you now. hahahah

Are you serious?? Some parents are just idiots, really! Glad we missed out on that fun today.

My brother, Joby and i are reading this and laughing and completely agreeing with you! We're going through all the scenarios of how you could had refused him. How weird!!!!

That is a drop and for sure. I would have said--"We will call you if we have a situation." Trust me, I have said that PLENTY of times and I always follow through if needed!

What are people thinking!?!? Seriously, where is the common sense? I can only imagine Roy's face and following comments. hahaha

WELCOME to my world Monday through Friday! Being a Preschool Teacher, I have seen and heard it all! You were nice to not say anything, I use to be like that, now I won't take the chance of me or the other children getting sick, so they go home just as quick as they come to school! I know its a little more sensitive with a church classroom, just use lots of hand sanitizer, my friend!

OH MY GOODNESS! You are nicer than me! I have no tolerance for parents like that. There was one parent in Parker's class who had the sickest little girl. Anyway, she would wake up with 104 fever and he would give her Advil and send her to school b/c she "didn't have fever". It would make my blood boil.

What is worng with people!? The parents must have really needed a break from that kid.

HA! HA! HA! Something similar happened to me like that once! A dad dropped his son (11 mos. old) off at the YMCA Child Watch and said "He took a dump in the car on the way over....here is a fresh diaper..."
I then proceeded to show him where the parents changing table is for babies and the sign that stated "All children entering the Child Watch must have a clean diaper upon entering"

OH NO HE DIDN'T!!! You know his wife would have died if she knew he said that to you...she probably just wanted some time at home alone.

Oh.My.Word. I wish I had been there - completely not acceptable.

And I wonder along with Kristin - was it the boy who wears pink shoes?

Why doesn't this surprise me? Thank goodness he wasn't in my class....the lady that insists I apply hand sanitizer to her kids' hands (yes, there are 2 of them)every 5 minutes would have had a coronary!
