I heard a man say on TV the other day that a girl's first love is her Daddy and I couldn't agree more. For as long as I can remember, my daddy has has been my hero. I can vividly remember thinking I was going to marry him when I was little. To me, he was the best thing in the world.
He truly is a wonderful godly man, a role model and the best Daddy any girl could have. I think that's why God blessed him with five. He is definitely a girl's dad...he knows how to handle them and he did so wonderfully. He has always made my sisters and I feel good about ourselves, he has always encouraged us, praised us, and disciplined us when we needed it. Most of all, he has loved our mother and has treated her so beautifully. He has been a wonderful role model for all of us on what kind of husband to find. I think all of my sisters and I can see qualities of our Daddy in each one of our spouses.
So on this special day, I want to say "Happy Birthday, Daddy Boy!" Thank you for being such a wonderful role model to me, Roy and our children. Caroline loves her "HanDaddy" and I am so glad! We love you more than you can imagine. We are so blessed to have YOU in our lives!!

I am catching up on blogs. What a wonderful tribute to your father and I love all your comments and photographs regarding your Thanksgiving memories.
Donna, I've been out of the blog world for a bit -- but always love coming to yours and catching up on your sweet family. LOVE the picture of Caroline and RA by the fireplace --precious! Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving - and Happy Birthday to your sweet father -- he raised 5 wonderful girls, for sure!
Me agree too! And was lucky enough to spend the day with the birthday boy himself, something that has not happened in a LONG time.
Yesterday the bday boy went and bought fresh steaks and jumbo shrimp and then HE cooked US a very yummy din din last night--oh he bought a home made Key Lime Pie at the market too.
Anyway, we had a fun day with Daddy and everything you said Donna was so very true. Daddy is the best. I told him last night to stay healthy because we girls need him around for a long time.
Maddie had some very sweet things to say to him last night. Talk about wet eyes! Mine were wet!
She told him that she has a few friends parents get a divorce this past year. She told daddy that she wanted to thank him and Grammy for loving each other and being married, BECAUSE it just made the chances of her parents (me and Danny) stay together and love each other too. Where she put all that together is beyond me, but it sure is true and it sure it sweet!
Sweet Post, sweet Daddy! I do believe it takes a special man to handle ALL girls!!
I posted the snowman ornament how to...let me know if you have any questions!
Denise! I cried at your comment..I have a daughter who says things like that too! See...they really do watch us and we MUST be worthy of their admiration and trust!! You have a good girl on your hands!
Awh, that made me tear up. That has to be the sweetest thing I've ever read from a girl to her daddy. He is a great man! Happy Birthday Mr. Reber! You are loved by so many, and you make a MEAN BUTTERMILK PANCAKE!!! :)
Happy Birthday to you Mr. Reber........You did do a great job with your girls and you do treat your wife with sweetness and respect...an example to all of us. Thank you.
Donna that was a sweet post...to a great daddy.
I had that kind of daddy too and I couldn't understand why I couldn't marry my daddy. He was and still is my hero. Having a wonderful daddy makes it so much easier to trust your heavenly
Father. It makes it very natural to trust Him. I really don't know how girls make it without a special daddy..........
