Happy Birthday, Daddy Bill!

Today is Roy's grandfather's birthday. He is 90! Each day is a gift from God but I believe when people live to see their eighties and nineties, it is truly a wonderful blessing.

Roy and I are always having people tell us that they became Christians because of Daddy Bill's crusades or sermons. I think it is amazing that one man can affect the world in such a positive way. Who knows how many people will be in Heaven because of his influence? What a wonderful thought!

He's having a special birthday party tonight in Asheville. Roy is currently in Brazil and I honestly can't even think about taking my two (especially Roy Austin) up the road 2 hours, keeping them still and quiet at a birthday dinner and program, and then driving the two hours back by myself. That sounds awful of me, doesn't it?! Roy and I will be at another birthday bash in his honor next Thursday, though!
Happy 90th Birthday, Daddy Bill! We love you and we are so truly thankful for you and very proud to be your grandchildren. What a legacy and heritage you have given all of us Grahams!

Sweet post Donna! Happy bday to Mr. Graham!

Sweet girl you are also sweet to post the picture of BHO (I like to call him that!) I can just see you becoming the next leader of CWA or something like that.

Since Dolly is going to call you "Ann Gail" while we bake for Christmas, I'm gonna call you "Bev." (I'm making myself laugh!)

What a sweet post! And what a wonderful man.

We'll be celebrating my grandmother's 90th later this month. I love what you said about reaching your 80s and 90s and it being a true blessing.

I don't blame you one bit for not going tonight!

I just saw this article about Billy Graham on The Drudge Report. Good.

I could just cry looking at that man. He just glows with God's love. Wouldn't it be something to just sit down and listen to him talk about his life stories? And, my gramma, mom, Paul's gramma and mom were all saved at Billy Graham crusades. His ministry is LONG lived. When he committed to full time ministry, he stayed in for the long haul. Happy Birthday to a genuine soul. Wow!

Donna, you have honored BG so wonderfully in this post. It is so great to see a family feel the same way about him and his integrity as others perceive him to be from a distance. That just shows what an amazing, gentle soul he is. it is mind-blowing to think of all the souls he has won to the Lord but what is even more staggering is all the spiritual grandchildren and great-grandchildren he will have. It will be millions upon millions.

I can't wait to meet him in Heaven....since, of course, I can't meet him on earth. (cough, cough, wink, wink, sniff, sniff)

Great Post, Donna. I saw Franklin and Billy on channel 3 last night. and for the record He is a big reason my grandmother came to know the Lord. My dad (raised in a non-Christian home) said every time BG came on TV, his mom would make them be quiet and sit and listen! Later she came to know Christ and my dad and their entire family. What a impact BG has been on so many people/families!
