Yesterday, Roy had a meeting in Boone, so the kids and I tagged along to visit the grandparents and meet our new cousin, Hannah! Edward and Kristy are on the East coast for 2 weeks so it was nice to see their faces again and to hold sweet Hannah! She is such a tiny, feminine little thing. She looks just like a little rosebud! We arrived in Boone right at lunch time and let's just say that our two little blessings were a little on the noisy side. After a few pouting sessions, dropping zwieback toast EVERYWHERE continuously, choking on a piece of zwieback toast, dropping the tray to the highchair two times and leaving a trail of zwieback toast where we were sitting, Edward said it right....the dining room clapped when I left with my two children---and I think my father-in-law was leading the standing ovation.

Isn't she precious? (I'm being sarcastic, of course). My sweet little angel had to be held down to take a picture with her grandparents. Gramps looks thrilled. This was after the lunch room escapade. I think he was ready for us to leave!

Caroline had fun running around the yard yesterday. You can't tell in this picture, but for some reason, she was a wreck! Maybe she still doesn't feel well? I think I used the classic mom excuse, "she NEVER acts this way!" about 10 times.

Hannah and Roy Austin were able to spend some quality time together. I thought he was a little baby until I put him next to Hannah. He is a tank.
And can anyone else not get over the fact that Edward is a dad?! He's a natural, though.
Caroline is a little on the shy side around Uncle Edward. She would have nothing to do with him all day long...
...until he and Daddy climbed in bed with her and watched The Fox and the Hound.
We ate a delicious dinner and then we headed on back home to Charlotte. I had to get one last picture to end our day. I told everyone to act natural in this picture, but I think Edward is taking it too seriously and Roy is, once again, annoyed at his blog-picture-taking wife.
We're going back to Boone next week for a cousin photo shoot with Will and Kendra's kids, so watch out for more pics!

Looks like you had a nice time and Hannah Ruth is ADORABLE! She's going to be one pretty little girl as she gets older. It's funny to see Edward as a dad but just like Roy, he already looks like a natural! By the way, RA looks just like his Nana in those pictures! So cute!
The picture of RA and his Nana is too perfect. I cannot get over the way he already hams it up for the camera. He seems so sweet, and Caroline seems like she can turn it on and off like a switch...just like my little "angel"!! Personality Galore!

Looks like you guys had a great day...despite any meltdowns. :) You're kids are so adorable and so is Hannah Ruth! I LOVE Roy's face in the last picture...it made me laugh out loud! :)
That was a nice blog, and the pictures are so good....every one of them. The two with Jane and little RA are beautiful. They really are framers!! And little Hannah is a very beautiful baby. I know Jane and Franklin are really enjoying their growing family of grandchildren. Isnt' it great, Jane? Of course little RA and Caroline are just adorable. I miss them so much. Thanks for the very interesting blog and pictures.
We did have a nice day and so sweet of Roy and Donna to come up, esp. with Roy Austin and Caroline not feeling well. Jan we do have the cutest grandchildren I have just about ever seen. I have six of the cutest. Donna, where is the "NOSE" picture? Kristy and I were looking for it.
