Silly me decided to be a good mother last night and check to see if my child was covered up before I went to bed. The minute his blanket touched his back he was up on his hands and knees crying. I quickly jumped in my bed so he wouldn't see me, but he knew I was there and cried and cried. I tried to go to sleep, thinking he'd eventually get tired and fall asleep himself, while I worried about waking my parents or worse--my parent's company sleeping in the basement directly under our room. Finally at 11:45 I got up and picked him up. He laid on my shoulder sucking his thumb but was wide awake. I finally put him back in the pack and play at 12:00 to more crying. I turned on a night light, thinking maybe he was afraid of the dark? I tried to doze off and I actually did for a minute or two, but at 12:45 I gave up hope and decided to bring the little guy into my bed. To him, this meant play time. He decided to show off his latest tricks by practicing them over and over again. I could see his face in our night light lit room as he lay there with a huge smile on his face, so happy that he had made it to my bed at 1 am. He lay there and started clapping over and over again. Remember that squeal he did in the video clip of the dog licking him? Yeah, imagine that in your ear when all you want to do is go to sleep. Then he started repeated his new word "it" over and over again. Then more clapping. At one time I just laughed because the situation was funny. He took this to mean that I wanted an encore, so again more clapping. More "it". Finally I had enough and returned him to his bed. This made him angry and he let me know it. I covered my head and before I knew it, I looked at the clock and it was 5:30 and Roy Austin was out. So, this morning, I am tired, once again. It's funny how when you're not used to getting up with a baby for a few months, getting up for an hour throws you off!
I'm in Virginia visiting my family. My mom's computer is still slow, so I'm saving my posts until I return to Charlotte tomorrow. It's been a busy week up here and we have one more week until Roy comes home! Hopefully it will be another busy week.

That's where you are! I didn't know you were going home. I'm glad you did! Be careful coming back.Give all the Rebes a hug from the Scholles!
You poor thing! There is nothing worse and you feel bad because you find yourself getting angry at your child who is just sitting there being so cute and adorable and just wants to play with mommy. I hope you can nap today.
Now for the computer, you need to have a conversation with your sweet Daddy about suprising Jenius with a DSL line at home.
Donna, hoping you can sneak in a nap today. You must be so tired.
Enjoy the rest of your visit at home. I have been praying for you and for Roy as he is traveling. Looking forward to seeing you soon. I took a class at the Y this a.m. - not Zumba it was cardio/sculpt and really hard!
Yippee - a new post! I'm sorry you had a long night. I hope tonight is better.
Oh I meant to add - it'll be a busy week - It's triple time!!
Lo siento me hermana!
Donna...sorry about your night. All I can say is you gave us a laugh because we can relate. I understand.
What a way to start off the week RA...got to keep that mama of yours on her toes!! :)
Have fun with your family!
I so know this feeling. I have heard Sarah up or crying and to myself said oh my goodness, please go back down, but once I get in her room, who can be mad at those little sweeties!
