For Local Charlotte Sympathizers Only

This post is basically for my local Charlotte friends, although there could be a national situation on our hands. I just returned from the Blakeney Target down the street and once again, I am annoyed with this weekly errand. Weekly? Who am I kidding. I go to Target at least twice a week.

Normally a trip to Target is a treat. An errand I normally look forward to. Browsing the endcaps while I search high and low for items on clearance, looking at the cute stuff Target has to offer--it's definitely a fun errand and I enter the mothership with a smile each time. But I have to state that lately any time I enter Blakeney's Target, it is a nightmare! No matter what day of the week or what time of the day, there are Target employees stocking EVERY SINGLE aisle in the store! HUGE red carts with cardboard boxes are in the way and employees are ferociously restocking shelves and I have to say "excuse me" or "pardon me, can I get through" while I have a 3 year old hanging off the cart and a baby babbling away in the front. It is so aggravating! I mean, I can go on a Monday morning at 9:00 or a Thursday afternoon at 3:30 and the same situation is at hand!

Charlotte peeps, do you agree? I love my Target and I would rather drive the 2 miles to Blakeney's Target rather than the 3 to Stonecrest's Target but the restocking chaos has got to stop. Okay, I just realized how blessed we are to have 2 targets in a 3 mile radius. High Maintenance, huh?

ITA!
The Blakeney Target is a mess. It's been well documented by others, too - even in the newspaper. I nearly always am sorry I stopped there- even though it is sometimes very convenient. BUT - it is routinely the best place for discounted holiday candy after the holiday has passed. I guess they always over order!

I'm a big fan of the new (well, over a year or so old) Super Target at Rivergate. I'll admit, I've run into some of the restocking as well but it's been tolerable thus far. They usually ask if they can get me anything. Max's cousin is one of the big Target managers in MN (the headquarters). Perhaps I'll inquire about the phenomenon. Anyway, I know Rivergate is far for you but going during the day, is EASY PEASY!!! Maybe we'll have to make a tradition of meeting for lunch at Just Fresh and heading on over to the Super T next door on a clearance hunt. :)

YES! I've noticed the same thing. I used to go there almost every Wednesday morning - Caroline took Dance at Miller Street and it was convenient - every.time. they were stocking. It's like you can't even enjoy the experience!

HPS - Super Target - where is Rivergate? Don't they have groceries?

Why don't you all write letters to that Target....or better yet, to the head office....or both. Just say what you said in your blog, and see what happens. Who knows, they might send you some coupons or a gift card or something. It's worth a try, and if enough peeps write, it might just do some good.

I am so sorry you have to endure that frustration. I think you should contact corporate too...you write so well and could send an email or call them.

As I am not up that way too much I haven't yet visited that specific Target.

Shout out to them Donna...shout out!

Well, I haven't had the problems with stocking, but I'm absolutely irrate that Target is no longer honoring their own internet coupons!! What is that all about??
