Daddy is home, safely! Thank you, Jesus!! His plane was delayed so he didn't get in until about 7:00. The kids and I went to the airport overlook (locals: if you haven't been, it's so cool!) and watched dozens of planes land and take off. Caroline was a little shy when she saw Roy, but she soon warmed up. The entire night, she was glued to his side! I was suprised how much Roy Austin remembered Roy! He was arching his back all night long to look at him and he just smiled so big when they made eye contact! It melted my heart and Roy's!
Hannah, we tried Jim 'n Nicks. It was delicious. Those corn muffins are so good, it's sinful!! When we got home, Roy handed out his souvenirs for the family. When I was little, this was one of my favorite parts of my Daddy returning from a trip. I'm sure it will soon be Caroline's too! When Roy handed her these pajamas from Bangkok, she said "Oh, thank you very much, Daddy!" We laughed so hard. I kept calling her "Mulan" and she would say "No, Mommy. They're Chinese". I don't think she knew what she was talking about.

YAY! Family time! Glad everyone is back together again. :o)
Yippee! I'm glad Roy finally made it home and the pj's he got for CB are so cute too. That's funny you called her Mulan in them.
For some reason the first pic is not coming up on your blog.
I'm so glad you're all back together again. Roy was gone a long time! Hopefully he won't have to do that too often. What did he bring you? I guess just HIM coming home would be enough, but it's always nice to get a little prize, too.
That video is precious! It almost looks like she was half happy and half teary. Will did that when Paul came back one time. He was so happy he cried.
Looks like he had a lot of luggage too. Must be all those prizes! :)
okay, my boys just watched the video with me and they were cheering for Caroline. Like they were watching a movie. They were so excited for her to see daddy!
Those jammies are too cute. AP has some from Stace and Joy that are waiting for her to grow into.
I'm glad RA1 is home and I'm glad you finally experienced JNN for yourself! I hope you had the collards, too! What else did you have?
Did you get anything from the sweat shop order!?!??
Yay for Roy being home. The goodbyes are always hard the hellos are oh so sweet!
Now did you have a certain welcome home gift for Roy...? You don't have to answer that question.
Good to see Roy home. I am sure he missed his family! and I can not wait to try Jim n Nicks!! Me love some bbq!!
Cissie you sure are nosey.....Donna, you might ask Cissie the same thing.
Glad you are home Ro-Ro..
Love you,
Mom
How cute is that!!! They look so content and happy. I'm sure Roy was beaming to have his family so happy to have him home!
Awww, this is a sweet post Donna! I'm glad you're all back together safe and sound and that all is right for the moment!
i remember being so excited when my daddy came home from cricrutin' (that's "recruiting" for LU Flames football back in the late 70's!)
I couldn't say recruiting, but I remember standing at the back door holding my dad's leg and saying, "Daddy, please don't go cricrutin'." He quit shortly after. I've always had that man wrapped around my little pinky!
Hey Donna!
I'm getting a kick out of getting to know you all from a distance! I have an odd question for you. I've asked the help desk, and haven't got an answer yet...how did you post that video from your camera? It's not as easy as clicking the video icon next to the picture one while posting...at least not for me. Let me know.
I'm glad for you all that daddy's home too. Things are just never right otherwise!
