Laugh Jar Moments

As I was cleaning the kitchen this morning, I dipped my hand in the laugh jar and thought I'd share a few:

* On the way to VA to see my family, a car swerved into our lane and almost hit us. I must have reacted outloud and mentioned that the car "almost hit Mommy's car" because a few seconds later Caroline said "Mommy, that car needs to go to time out. It hit Mommy's car!".

*We were in the bathroom one morning and Caroline looked at my belly and pointed to a mole on my stomach and said "Mommy! You got poo-poo on you!"

*We were at Panera one night and Caroline had to go potty. We have a rule that when we go into a stall, she doesn't touch ANYTHING. She needs to wait until I wipe down the seat and put paper down. Well, I was closing the stall door behind us and I heard her squeal with excitement, "MOMMY, LOOK!!!". I turned around to see her holding a nasty plunger!! She was actually touching the bottom of her found treasure. Needless to say, I scrubbed and scrubbed her hands.

*We were out to eat on the way to Florida and Roy Austin was getting fussy. Roy handed him my spanking spoon to chew on (a mini rubber spatula that I carry in my purse). As he was handing it to Roy Austin, Caroline looked up from her plate and yelled "NO!" She had a look of panic on her face, thinking Roy was going to spank her baby brother. It was sweet:)

You are so good to have written these things down. I meant to with my boys and never did it. I regret it now because I don't remember any of those cute little things. You think you will but in time you don't.

I will have to do a laugh jar or at least a laugh journal.

HPS, I can't wait to see what kind of funny things APS has up her sleeve. If she's going to be anything like her momma, she's going to be a ham!

I am sitting here, finally having a chance to play catch up on the blogs. You posted quite a few times this week, Donna. I love the laugh jar moments and I must start this with Sarah when she starts talking. Caroline looked adorable at the dentist. She really is growing up:(

Way to stay on top of the laugh jar, Donna!

I had to laugh at the plunger story because we just got back today from Illinois and, of course, we stopped at every nasty bathroom possible. I would be so stern with Max about not touching ANYTHING in the bathrooms and then I would take the 1st layer of skin off from washing his hands after we were done. YUCK!!!

Those are precious! You need to send them into one of the family magazines like Wonder Time or Cookie or Family Circle. They always put cute quotes that kids say in there.

Donna, I just caught up on your blog. I felt like when I was reading the Panera story that I was right there in the action. You're great at describing the moment.

ps - I'm glad I'm not the only person who uses the "spoon"!

I'm getting caught up on all my blogs from the last week. The laugh jar moments are too sweet. I'm definitely going to start one of those when the time comes. I can't believe that Caroline was holding the end of the plunger; you must have felt sick to your stomach. And diddo on the snake phobia. I could hardly even look at the picture. I pray every time I go out to our gardens that God hides the snakes from my eyes. I know they're there; I just can't stand seeing them. And so far so good-we've lived here for almost two years with five acres of woods, gardens, and two ponds, and no snakes yet!
