Keep Your Doors Locked!

As I type this, there are currently two police helicopters buzzing around our neighborhood and police cars frequently go past our house. Apparently there is a bad guy running around our neck of the woods. I came home from running errands with the kids and Roy was home to finish up some loose ends on our taxes (I know, we're procrastinators!). We started hearing the helicopters and so he called a friend on the police force to see what all the fuss was about. The neighborhood right next to ours had a day-light break in and one of the suspects was on foot. When I heard this, I was SO happy Roy was home. Well, the door bell rings and I kind of freak out. It was our neighbor and her adrenaline was kicking. She said that she was coming home and the suspect ran right in front of her car. He was pinned between two cars and then took off down OUR STREET! There were two guys who were doing the breaking in, and the police grabbed the chubbier of the two. I guess he wasn't as fast as the other one.

Roy had to go to a meeting, so I'm sitting here in need of a shower but a little afraid to go get one. The doors are locked, the alarm is on, the kids are napping. I have my trusty old chihuahua here to keep me safe. The helicopters are still circling our neighborhood and getting closer and closer. Our neighborhood and the one next to ours has been a break in paradise lately so hopefully they'll catch this guy. I have to wonder what he's thinking right now! I'll keep you posted....

YIKES!!! Well, at least you have Maggie by your side...she seriously would kill someone if they tried to hurt you or Roy. What a guard dog you've got there! ;) Hope they find him soon!!
