Today was Roy Austin's 4 month check up. Any guesses on how much he weighs? Apparently I produce 100% heavy cream. So hold the half and half and skim milk for this boy because he weighs almost 17 pounds! His second tooth is about to pop through his gums, which made for an interesting night last night. Roy wanted us to sleep in the guest room last night because he loves the mattress on that bed. Well, I brought the baby monitor with us so I could listen for Caroline and RoyBoy. At 2:15 I was woken up by the lovely sound of Roy Austin crying and I knew why. He rolled over and couldn't get back on his belly. So I wearily climbed the steps, rolled him over, which he took to mean that it was play time. Needless to say, after THREE trips up the stairs in the middle of the night, patting his back to try to get him back to sleep only to have him coo and laugh at me, finally giving in and giving him a snack at 2:45--which he hasn't needed since he was SEVEN weeks old!!!--and finally bringing him into our bed at 5:00, I did not sleep very well! His doctor told me this morning that tonight I need to start the cereal. Isn't that sad?! He's so little still:( So tonight we will do the ceremonial "first time eating food" event. I'll take pictures, so check back tomorrow. I know you're dying to see my baby eat cereal for the first time.
Oh, and I also want to give a shout out to Roy's cousin, Windsor, who recently became a blogger! Welcome, Windsor! I think she looks just like Amy Adams (the girl in Enchanted). Windsor just had a sweet little baby girl on February 11th, Margaret Ruth, so go check out her blog and welcome her!

He is a big boy!! I love those little chucky arms! I took Sarah to the doctor this morning too, for her 9 month visit. She wieghs 20lbs. Roy Austin is going to surpass her soon.
Donna - I love this music- where have I heard this song "Take me the Way I am" before? Movie? TV?
Argh - can't figure it out.
Congrats, RA on 2 teeth! AK had them early, too - 15 at 12 months. That's the only thing she did early - took her time on the rolling/sitting/etc. Enjoy him!
Roy Austin for President...the tv commercials would be great to see for the millionth time!

What a cutie! He's getting so big! His looks are starting to change some. It's funny but I can see you as a little girl in him some now.
I guess since he's getting so big so fast you'll just have to have another one soon!
WHOA!!! 17 pounds!? Samuel has his 4 month appt next Tuesday, so I'll blog about it too. And, he is already teething? Samuel is drooling a lot and wonder if that's why. Oh, and we've had the same thing happen--Samuel rolling to his back and not able to get back on his tummy.
ADORABLE! Our little girl, Winnie, has her 4 month check-up next week ;-( She too is drooling so thinking teeth are around the corner. I was just thinking that I bought a purse from one of Dolly's sisters..was it you? Btw, very nice to meet you...I've enjoyed getting to know Amy's friends! My name is Merritt ;-)
Kristin, the girl who sings that song does a lot of the songs on Grey's Anatomy. She was on Good Morning America a few weeks back and I liked her!
Merritt--I love your name! I love the name Winnie, too. How cute! I will go check out your blog in a second. If Winnie starts the teething, get Hyland's Teething Tablets. They're great! You can get them anywhere. I bought some for RoyBoy today.
Donna, how did you find those teething tablets? I have been looking for them ever since Harry Jack was a baby! Someone in Atlanta told me about them, but I forgot the name.
We Reb's just make big babies! He will stop gaining weight closer to one. Marg's was about 20 pounds9 month. We go next week for her one year. I don't think she has grown much more.
Cute picture!
Donna, what kind of cereal are you going to start him on? Is it once a day?
what a chunk of hunk! he is growing up too fast. it is about time I come make a visit! i will get planning! adorable dj!! heart you!
Denise, you can get them anywhere....Target, Wal-mart...I got mine at the pharmacy at the dr's office.
Amy, I started him on just plain cereal from Gerber. I think it's DHA or something? He LOVED it! I will post about it tomorrow.
BTW, I still see Reber in him. I see Margaux too.
Love that little boy! His hair looks so dark and longer - in fact, he has bangs. :) What a cutie pie!! Can't wait to hear how the cereal goes...
Cute. I am still trying to decide who he looks most like...Bruce thinks Roy, but I think I see you more in him.
Those baby blues are something else! He is such a cutie!
