When Caroline was a baby, I think I took pictures of her DAILY. I always had the camera in her bedroom to snap a picture of her coo-ing or of her just laying in her crib. Poor Roy Austin already has slim pickins' in the picture department. I know what it's like. In my parent's library, there is this huge white album that says "THE DANIEL A. REBER FAMILY" written in gold font on the bottom and it's
full of 8x10's of my oldest sister Dayna. Hmmm. I wonder who was the first baby in our family?! Then you have the sad story of when I was about 11 and found my baby book. I was so happy, so excited to see what kind of information was in this record keeper all about ME! I opened it up and saw my name "Donna Janelle Reber" and my weight and length, the time of my birth and maybe my doctor's name. That's it. No pictures of my first bath, first time eating cereal, no "what was happening in the world" page filled out. I was crushed! So I actually filled the rest of it out! In my Mom's defense, I was her 5th child under the age of 10. I'm about to go crazy at times with just 2. Mom, I don't know HOW you did it!!! And don't feel bad...I think it's funny and totally normal for this to happen when you have more than one child. No hard feelings, I promise:)
So, one day last week, Caroline was still asleep and Roy Austin woke up from his nap early. I fed him and gave him a bath and then had the idea for a photo session. This boy can work it like the best of them...
Fresh from the bath. I love this smell!!

Donna, I am LOL so hard right now. You have no idea how bad the whole baby book issue is in our family. Becky was #4 and she had no baby book. Her baby snapshots and keepsakes were stored in the back of my brother's book. She talks about that ALL THE TIME like she should be listed in Foxes Book of Martyrs. Ha!
That RA is adorable! I just laugh at that hair. He looks like a little shrunken middle aged man with his hair combed to the side. I can already picture him in a little teeny business suit. Cute, cute pictures. I bet you can just eat that little cutie-patootie up.
RA is so precious!! Oh how I could just squeeze him to pieces! I'm glad you took the opportunity for a photo shoot and he does know how to work it! Love the last photo of him. Thanks for sharing these.
RA is a cutie! He is a big boy too! What I would give for Sarah to have that much hair. He is looking a little more like the Reber's to me.
Those are sweet, Donna. He IS a little man. You're a good little photographer. Watch out, Russ Busby!
Donna, those are SO cute, and I can totally identify with your sentiments. Sometimes I feel guilty that Lilly's book is not as great as Mary Farrell's. I remember the days when I would dress up MFC in different outfits just to take pictures of her in them. I had nothin' else to do! Boy, would I like a day like that right about now!
RA is gorgeous with those eyes (so similar to Caroline's) and all that beautiful hair. I mean, that's enough to comb! I'm jealous! We're still working on Lilly's. You can really see some personality in those pics too!
Wow--the fur coat saga and now the baby book....that's so sad! Although, with that many kids, I can see how it happens. RA is so adorable--love the photo session.
Donna, he is such a doll!! Great pics!
Oh, he's so cute! I can't believe how big and chubby he is! What a cutie pie! I especially love the "comb over"! I can't WAIT to do that to my little guy :)
VERY CUTE pictures. I especially love the last one. He's already workin' it. watch out ladies!
Donna! These photos of Roy Austin are so good - he really was working it! I like that - work it, own it! Yeah, my younger sister understands too - just three of us girls though. We always told her she had been adopted because she has red hair - terrible - I know.
Once again, I'm in love with this sweet boy! You better watch your back because I might try to snatch him up and bring him back to my house. What a little stud muffin he is!
I'm #5 of 5 kids too...let's get together sometime and talk about how we're the forgotten in our families. :)
Laughing about picturing him in a business suit! I'll have to find a little bow tie or clip on tie for him and a pair of fake glasses. That would be a cute picture! Kind of like the wall street baby in that Olan Mills picture!!
I'm the Dayna of our family, poor Sarah is the Donna, she got robbed in the baby book/picture dept for sure. I think it's just a fact of life, there simply isn't as much time available after you already have one baby! I think you're a great Mom, Donna, I always think "how is she doing all of that with a newborn?" I can barely get stuff done and this baby is still INSIDE! I love the pic of RA on his belly with his head up, soooo cute and alert, he's definitely working it for his Mommy who he loves! I"ve heard that after nap times are some of the most special, enjoy!
Wow, 14 comments already. Where have I been? Love the post Donna. You are so funny when you write. Roy boy is a cutie! Told you, you would LOVE having a boy!
Ok, I almost didn't leave you a post, because i think your number of comments is a little absurd. But how can I not tell you that my nephew is the cutest thing. you and roy produce some good looking offspring!
by the way Donna, just to remind you, you're not the only one who doesn't have a lot of baby pictures. Actually, I don't even have a BOOK! I've never seen it atleast. Wahhhhh!
Hey, Cissie...you're not doing too shabby yourself with all the comments you got on your first post. What was it, 8?!
Thanks for the compliments on RA. He is sick today with a head cold and it is pitiful:(
Donna...he is a very handsome little guy. Looks a lot like his big sister.
