You are looking at our pile of luggage/loot to load into our cars today! I spent most of Thursday packing our entire family (even Roy...after 6 years, he still can't pack himself) for a week and a half on the road! Do you realize how much planning this takes? The kids are the easy ones to pack for and so is Roy, to a certain extent. But then there's me! I have to try every outfit on that I'm going to wear because I'm 8 weeks postpartum, find clothes that fit for 3 parties/functions (Roy's sister is getting married on the 31st), pull out the shoes/jewelry to match, remember to pack comfy clothes to "lounge" around the house in, remember all of my toiletries and hair stuff, oh yeah and my bridesmaid's and Caroline's flower girl dress, the Christmas presents, cameras, making sure the house is clean....UGGHHHH! Men have no idea what goes into getting a family ready to travel!!
It is all done now. I have to bring one load to the Goodwill this morning because I decided to clean my closet out yesterday, too, and then make a stop by Harris Teeter because they have Pull-Ups on sale and I have a $3 coupon!! We are planning on taking off around noon. Daddy is taking our family out for a nice adult-only dinner tonight so I can't wait! I'm still waiting on one big box of presents I've ordered to be delivered this morning and then we are home bound to the great town of Forest, VA! WOOHOOO!

Wow! You DO have a lot to get together before you come home. I hope you're bringing a suburban because you'll need to make room for Christmas presents on the way home too. I'm SO EXCITED you guys are coming home today. Let the Holiday's begin now that everyone will be home (minus Danny). Be careful and looking forward to eating a good parfait tonight!
shocking that dolly has already commented. i mean, really shocking!
okay, i have updated my blog with a very entertaining post if i do say so myself. at least i think it will be to you and dolly cuz you "get" my family. if a stranger happens upon it, well, it may seem a bit scary.
sorry i've been a little slack lately...i'll try to pick it up.
i'm glad you're home in old VA!
I haven't seen a Harris Teeter in years! Looks like you have an even busier next few days than I do! Good luck and hopefully I'll see you at church on Sunday!
Whoa, that is a lot to think about! I'm sure that you will have everything you need. Be sure to take lots of pics so we can see the exciting moments of it all! What a great blessing to be able to be with all of your family in VA! Hope y'all have safe travels and a VERY Merry Christmas!
I can not even begin to imagine packing for the three of us for a week and a half! Mitchell and I are leaving for his Mamaw's tomorrow around lunch (Mitchell has to work tomorrow morning). We are only staying one night, which we both wish we could have gone up sooner, but I do love the light packing!! That is so nice to have an adult dinner!! How nice of Mr. Reber!!
I feel your pain...feel your pain... It's especially challenging when you can only have 2 carry ons and 2 checked bags AND you have a babe and a stroller and a carseat.....phew...air travel is a WHOLE new ballgame as a mommy!!!!!
