It has been a whirlwind of a weekend for our family. My childhood friend, Culvette, got married this weekend in Columbia, SC. It's about 1 1/2 hours from our home, so we were able to drop Caroline off in Fort Mill at BJ and Fred Durston's house on our way there Saturday afternoon. She had a great time with them and they treated her like a princess, as always! Culvette looked beautiful and was a glowing bride and it was great to see the her family again. We all returned home around 10:00 that night and went right to bed!
This morning we skipped church (shhh!) to go visit Roy's family in Montreat, NC. Roy's brother, Edward and his wife Kristy, were visiting from Georgia and we don't get to see them too often. We met some of the family for lunch and then went on up the mountain to visit with Daddy Bill. Caroline loves going to his house because it's fun to explore. Her favorite things to do are look for Tai Tai's old cat, who loves to hide, and race around in the back yard! After a quick visit there, we went on to Roy's other grandparent's house to visit with them! We returned to Charlotte around 6:00 and went out for dinner to our favorite pizza place---Luisa's Pizzeria! YUM!! Roy is on his way to pick Dolly up from the airport now and then another week begins. Actually, it should be pretty uneventful for us this week...no appointments or crazy scheduling! Here are some pictures from our day in Montreat. Enjoy and have a great Monday!! Oh, and by the way, who are you people reading our blog? My stat numbers are pretty good but I'm confused. I know that I have at least 10 faithful viewers/commenters, but who are the rest of you out there? Please, feel free to leave comments:)

GOOD post, Don Don...GOOD post. I love the slideshow! Quinn has gotten huge. I know you all made Daddy Bill's week and were a HUGE bright spot! It makes me sad to know Tai Tai wasn't there for this visit. The house is looking GREAT and I'm glad to see Carol wore her new fall smock to match the fall decor. Daddy B sure has become quite the seasonal decorator. :) Next time you go there, you're gonna have another Roy in tow.
LOL about DB being a seasonal decorator! Funny! Yes, Quinn is a mess! He is a total boy and definitely is the family clown.
That was my last "trip" before the baby is born. It's getting hard to sit in a seat for 2 hours of traveling time.
By the way, how did the hot chick salad go over on Fri. night?
Do you have any pics of Culvette as a bride?!
Okay, that recipe is SOOO good! I did ritz crackers on top instead of potato chips and it was so mouth-watering good!!! I ate some leftovers for lunch today.
I have a picture from the wedding of us but I look H-U-G-E and I don't want to display it on the net!
I simply love Caroline's smock! and I love your dress, Donna. by the way, I saw you have over 1200 viewers, is that right? crazy. Kinda scary too. 500, probably BG. Ha! Such a fun weekend. I love the mums!
Such a fun weekend. We just got home...it's so late I don't know why I'm up...but I wanted to check to see if you put the pics up. So cute. It was so good to see you guys. Kristy
Donna, good pix. It will be neat to see if you have any new peeps to comment. I know that some of my friend read ALL of your (you girls) blogs. They are just under the radar. But, I must admit, there are some blogs that I read and don't comment on either. I guess that is a bit of "Jenius" in me. BTW, you look great for 36 weeks.
Again, girls. Thanks. I don't mean to keep getting sympathy copliments from you all:)
Suzanne, I love the dress too! Some girl let me borrow it and it is the most comfy maternity dress out there. I think I may wear it home from the hospital....seriously! You may not want it back:)
I thought I recognized that dress w/ the pearls! It looks great the second time around too (Suzy Q being the first)! :)
My name is Heather Overton and I must confess that I am one of the "others". Here is how I came upon your site. I went to college with Chrystal Buchman. We reconnected at a consignment sale and she led me to her blog. I was checking out the other people on her list to see if I knew anyone from college. There was a picture on your site of Dolly. Well, my husband was the worship pastor at the church where Christy Damas attended and she was a close friend of ours. We knew of Dolly through her. So that is how I came upon your blog and got hooked. Blogging is so addicting and you can learn so much about a person. I feel like I know you and we have never even met. I hope you do not mind.
Hi, Heather! I'm impressed that you "outed" yourself! That's so funny and I'm LOL! I will check out your blog site right now. I'll tell Dolly that we "met"! By the way, Christy's blog is on my friends blog list (Our life in Good Old Rocky Top).
Hannah...what is this chicken salad recipe?? I'm craving it now:)! Donna, your weekend sounded so fun and looked like a postcard setting.
Amy, just go to http://maxandhannah.blogspot.com/2007/09/2-recipes.html. It's REALLY good. It calls for crushed potato chips on top but I used potato sticks and slivered almonds which was so good and Donna used ritz crackers. Can't go wrong!
Thanks! I'll check it out!
A black dress always comes in handy, especially when you are pregnant. You look great in it. I am glad you are able to use it.
Donna- I meant to ask, what is that website for little girls hair bows?
Oh, I forgot to send it to you. Denise, you wanted this lady's ebay name, too. Her ebay id is d*jenkins and she makes really cute and cheap hairbows. I've been buying them since Caroline was a little baby. She only charges $2 flat shipping, too. Just go to ebay and then look under her ID. She has an ebay store, too. Let me know if you need any help.
Donna, you should link her store to you site.
