As the title of this blog states, I HEART Coupons. I do! It thrills me so much to go to the grocery store, see something already on sale, and then have a coupon for it, especially when the store doubles coupons. When I have a 75 cent coupon, my heart skips a beat. And then when I check out and the cash register updates my total, I love it! Two days ago, I visited Lowes Foods on a Mystery Shop (yes, I am a mystery shopper for Harris Teeter...another post for another day) and my total was $48 something. Then I handed the lady my coupons and my customer card and my total went down to $15 something! I know! I was excited, too! When things like this happen, I literally get a high. My hands get a little jittery and I can't wait to get into my car, look over my receipt at my savings and call Roy to tell him how much I just saved. Caroline also knows I love coupons. She opened her new package of panties the other day and handed me the Hanes coupon inside and said "Here Mommy. A coupon". She also has the important task of being my "Coupon Holder" when we go shopping. But if you think I love coupons and like to save money grocery shopping, you should meet my friend,Chrystal. She went to Harris Teeter and after her coupons, she spent like 86 cents on her bill! I saw the receipt, too, so I know it's true. Now, she is the coupon queen and her savings stories are unreal. She honestly needs to write a book on coupon usages. She's a genius!
So, without rambling on about one of my cheap thrills, I will pass on a nice little website one of my other coupon friends, Kristin, sent me. There is this Target Coupon website that has tons of coupons to use at Target--and they're good ones, too. They update them weekly, I believe, and the best part is, you can use them PLUS the manufacturers coupon on any item! This means that if you have a coupon for $2 on Pampers and the Target coupon for $3 off Pampers, you'd save $5! Yes, that's right! I know! I'm smiling, too! There are some good ones for Starbucks drinks on there right now, so you can get a little pick-me-up while you go shopping.
Okay, I know that some of you are thinking I'm ridiculous and need to get a hobby, but I also know that some of you are going to that website right after you read this post. And just remember that people who use coupons save an average of $500,000 over their lifetime (we heard that on one of Roy's financial books on tape)!I'll leave you with pictures of Sweet Caroline. The first one is of her at dinner, eating her spaghetti and the second is the after shot, all cleaned up and ready to snuggle. The third picture is a recent bump shot. I'm 28 weeks! 11 more to go unitl we meet the little guy:)

Cute picture's Donna. You look great you little Prov. 31 lady!
I love coupons too! But the last two times I have been to the grocery store, I forgot to give the cashier my coupons! Whenever I finally do realize I forgot them, it is usually when I am back home unloading my groceries. I get so mad at myself! I am definently going to check out your target site and keep trying. and P.S. I love Caroline's white dress and Donna, you are looking good! I love your dress!
Good post Donna. I need to be more coupon conscious. That picture of Caroline all cleaned up is precious! Have a great weekend!!
It is fun to use coupons because you feel almost sneaky! Today I had a coupon for 15% off pampers at Babies R Us. As I was checking out the cashier said, "Oh, and you get a free package of wipes with this too." I was so excited;).
Don Don, this is one of your best posts thus far! I heart the title. Way to be a good steward with what you have been entrusted...waaaaay to be a steward. One challenge I have with coupons is the expiration date. I may need to get a good coupon organizer. Got any recommendations? Love, Hannie
p.s the gown looks PRECIOUS! We need to get a pic of carol and ap in them together.
I can't believe I "made" your blog! I feel so special! :) I get the same thrill out of a coupon - so I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Hannah, my 6-year old coupon organize just bit the dust, so I finally found one with 13 compartments at Target. I carry it in my car so I always have it if needed.
The pajamas were cheaper than I thought they were. Caroline LOVES wearing it and she looks so sweet in it! I wish I had one!
No way, I just replaced my coupon organizer with a 13 compartment one I bought at Target too. Is yours plastic? Does it have an elastic strap that you pull over a little button on the front? Does yours have a little "pocket" in the front of the 13 compartments? Is yours hot pink?
wait a minute, wait a minute! One question at a time. Yes, I think great minds think a like and I think we have the same one! Only, mine is blue. I love it though, because I keep all my store coupons in the first big compartment...you know the coupons to things like Bed Bath and Beyond, Gymboree, etc. It's a very hand holder!
Donna, thanks for the advise about the coupons, Roy already gave me that book on tape or cd for ya'll that are into technology.
I don't know how you do it, clap, clap, clap! "DONNA"
Kim, you are CRAZY! Did Roy really give you a book on tape?!
Me too Donna. Are we sista's or what?
O.k. so he didn't get me a book on tape but he threatened to:) I LOVE TO DANCE while driving, book smook!
I did just print off the coupons, I live in Lburg, there aren't any SUPERTARGETS...and well, crazy, who has ever heard of a Starbucks in Target? You are such a city girl...I gotta go cruise Wards Rd, I'm out!
donna, I love your blog and read it frequently. I was just wondering how you became a secret shopper for Harris Teeter? Thanks.
Lori
