Laugh With Me

I thought I would share some giggles this morning from our laugh jar.

1. Most recently-- One night we read the story, 'Jesus is Risen', during our family devotion time. After the story, I asked Caroline where Jesus lived. She thought for a moment and then said "uhhhh, PANAMA!". She remembered that Roy was there recently and I guess I had asked her where Daddy was a lot during that time. Roy and I laughed so hard!

2. We were on the way to school one gloomy Friday morning and Caroline said to me, "Oh, Mommy. Sunshine not working."

3. She does something funny recently when she watches movies and something "scary" comes on or is about to happen. She will run over to me and say "Mommy. I play hide and seek now.", and she'll run off. When the part is over, she'll return to the movie!

4. I was frosting a cake for Roy's birthday and I thought I'd give Caroline a lick of the frosting, since she had never done that. I told her it was called frosting, which she really enjoyed. About 10 minutes later, she returned and said, "Mommy? I want some frosty the snowman."
5. Caroline has stepped up to "big girl status" and is getting out of the bathtub by herself. I'll be in the next room feeding her brother and I'll hear the drain plug being pulled up. She'll grunt and groan as she struggles to climb over the tub, reach up to grab her towel and then she'll appear with a huge smile on her face. Then she'll dry off (as best she can) and run back and forth fetching her pull-up, pajamas and slippers. It's so cute! I guess you have to see it to laugh.

There are a few others, but I don't think I should share!! If you don't have a laugh jar for your home, I encourage you to make one! Especially you, Denise. That Harry Jack cracks ME up!

I love it! How funny that she thinks she's "tricking" you about wanting to play hide and seek - funny how their little brain works.

Very cute and the laugh jar is a great idea!

Sweet stories Donna. You're a good mom. I am glad that you do that. I did start writing funny/sweet things down that Maddie said went she was little. Then as more children came along I somewhat stopped. I need to start it up again.

Ah, so cute! I like the Sunshine not working. That's funny! Good idea. Leland said that he needs to start a laugh jar of silly things I say. Hummmmmm, I don't know what to think about that one.

So cute, Donna. You really are a great mom. I'm taking lessons from all you bloggin' moms! The Easter pictures are so good. You make such a gorgeous family, and how wonderful to know that y'all are as beautiful on the inside!

Those are so funny! I've heard Roy say to someone here at work that their family needs to start a "laugh jar" - it is great idea! I always enjoy reading your blog. As I've said before, you should become a syndicated columnist - you already have a huge reader base!

Cute post, Donna. I love the things kids say, they are so funny. That is so good that you do that. I am like Denise...I started and then stopped years ago. You think you will remember things they say and do but you don't. I would give anything for those memories written down. GOOD IDEA for Olivia.
