And That's a Wrap! Christmas 2007

It's December 26th, one of the saddest days of the year, because Christmas is over!! This Christmas was a little different for our family. Normally we leave VA first thing on Christmas morning to make it to Roy's grandparent's house for lunch, but with his sister getting married next Monday, we decided to stay in VA until Friday to cut down on all the traveling-- especially with two small children tagging along.

We spent Christmas Eve enjoying our annual Christmas dinner, which was followed by our secret gift exchange (between the siblings) and then we went on to church for the Christmas Eve service. When we got back to my parent's house, it was very loud with 10 hyper grandchildren waiting to see what Santa brought! We all got into our pajamas and then hurried to the basement to see the the pile that Santa left. He was very generous, once again, and the kids were so happy with what they saw.

It was a long night and we even had a few fights break out between Caroline and Harry Jack over Pat Pat Rocket from Little Einsteins. Caroline got so possessive over her new toy and instructed her cousin to leave it alone and "go play with Dora" (it was actually Diego, but she thinks they're the same person!). She actually growled at him once because he was coming near her new Belle doll, too! It was kind of funny, but when it's your child who is being the mean one, it's a little overwhelming!!

The toy that started a fight....the infamous Pat Pat Rocket.
Caroline loved her Belle Tea Party doll. Here she is grabbing every accessory that goes with the doll before Harrison Jack sees them. Sharing is caring, Caroline, sharing is caring.

Mom received this pretty coat from Dolly and Leland. Way to go Seckmans!

We spent Christmas Day, eating, relaxing, eating, watching Roy and Danny try to get the kids' new four-wheeler to work, eating , watching Christmas movies and...oh yeah, EATING! I think I've seriously gained about 5 pounds just since coming here last Friday! I am in a wedding on Monday night, too. Wow. So, I started my no-sugar diet this morning and I am going to stick to it, even though my sister, Denise, thinks I'm going to cave with all the good desserts and baked goods we have hanging around this house. I've got two words, Denise....WATCH ME! Here are a few more pictures from our Christmas:

Sweet Roy Austin is full of smiles lately. Here he is getting ready to go to church on Christmas Eve.

I made the mistake of telling Caroline that she smiled like a princess. This huge smile is the one she automatically does, now, when her picture is taken!!

Waking Sleeping Beauty on Christmas morning so she could go get her stocking!
