Last night my family continued our yearly tradition (25 years!) and went Christmas caroling to Ms. Betts' house. Now, if you read one of my previous posts, you'd know that this lady used to be our old neighbor and a babysitter to us once in a while. We usually go to her house on Christmas Eve but this year we did our tradition a day early. The guys lucked out this year and were given the option by the in-laws to get out of the caroling if they wanted, which they ALL chose to do! So, Mom, Daddy, all 5 of us girls and all 10 grandchildren took the 4 car caravan to Fort Avenue and caroled our hearts out to a little, old lady and made her Christmas. Oh yeah, and she did break out the annual egg nog and fruitcake, but surprised us this year with some Starbucks Frappuccinos. Go Betty, you're getting hip in your old age.
Some of the grandkids serenaded Ms. Betts with a classic rendition of "Children, Go Where I Send Thee". It was a hit.

"What the?" Dolly's not too sure about the fruitcake.
Mom's wondering why she replied "I would" to the annual question, "Who would like some Eggnog?".

Ms. Betts and the carolers. We are professionals. (Check our Caroline's face).
MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you and your families have a wonderful time together during the next few days. I'll be back soon with a post of our Christmas experience!
