Where do you take 8 hungry kids for dinner? How about Sam's Club?! It's cheap and the pizza is REALLY good. Wil met us there after work and after we ate, we decided to walk around the warehouse. Wil was in the middle of all the chaos--3 woman wearing wedding rings, babies and lots of kids circling around us. Kristy mentioned that we looked like Sister Wives and we all laughed so hard! We do, don't we?????
Charlotte was a good girl all week. But what else is new?! 
One night we packed a picnic dinner and headed to the creek in Montreat. There is a huge park with a really nice creek area. The kids had so much fun playing in the water together:
We walked around Lake Susan...
and fed the swans...
There was LOTS of tire-swinging....
We watched some movies together...
This is totally random, but does anyone else think RoyBoy looks like Speaker of the House John Boehner???? Maybe as a child? I think it's the eyes or something. Every time I see his picture on TV, I laugh!

Charlotte and Liam spent a lot of time together, too. This boy is 4 months old and is 6 months younger than Charlotte and has already surpassed her in weight!! He is so sweet and such a good baby!
On our last night in Montreat, we had a cookout and invited Roy's grandparents and aunt and Uncle. Here is Charlotte with Roy's Aunt Delle Blount...
After the cookout, the kids had fun playing in the yard while Roy built a fire and we made S'mores! Does this guy look like a true mountain boy or what?!

This fun night outside produced tons of poison ivy on Caroline the next morning. She had it everywhere!!! So we made an early trip home to Charlotte. We had such a nice time being with our family and we're going to do the same thing again next year. But it sure did feel good to walk in our house after being gone nine days....there is NO place like home!

I wish I had been there.......sorry about the poison ivy! Not fun at all. Last year we got spider bites I think or was it the year before. Thanks for putting all the pictures up, I loved getting to see them all. Fun time and making memories! Love you all and miss you lots
Roy's belly picture is so funny and Hannah's pants are sagging in another! Cute kids all 8 of them if I do say so myself!
You're right, Jane.....you have a beautiful bunch of grandchildren!! I'm so glad you all had such a nice time together, and I LOVE the pictures. Hannah looks just like her daddy, and RA does kind of look like Mr.Speaker. Ha ha! Roy's campfire kind of looks like it's going through the trees....nice fire, Roy. The mountains are certainly the place to be....lots of good adventures to be had. Great post!!
Jan, I just told Will the same thing.....I looks like the fire is burning through the limb of the tree. Strange! I had not noticed it the first time and I was showing Will the picture of him with all his wives!!!
