Auntie Denise called soon after to sing her annual rendition of the birthday song. It brought a smile to this giddy girl's face:
Later that morning, I brought McDonald's Happy meals for Caroline and RoyBoy for lunch and cookies for the rest of her friends. Roy Austin wanted to eat lunch with Caroline so badly in her classroom and he felt SOOO big doing it. She was very sweet to him, helped him out and made him feel welcome with all the big kids:)
After the party, the class had to write in their journals and the topic was "Caroline". It was so cute to see everyone's drawings of her.....all the "Caroline's" had big bows in their hair! That bow's been a trademark since she was an hour old, and I can only hope that the bows stay in the picture this year. Headbands are starting to creep in!
Caroline wanted a Jessie the Cowgirl theme for her birthday and she picked barbecue for her dinner choice. She loves a good barbecue meal (my kind of girl!!). She wanted a cowgirl boot cake, too, but it had to be pink...not Jessie's signature red boot.
While we were practicing our piano, Roy Boy was in the kitchen alone and later I saw what he was doing....check out the heel on the boot:
Let's get this party started!
One of her favorite gifts....matching pajamas with her Samantha doll! She was so excited when she opened them and it was so nice to see her happy reaction. They were put on right away!

What a nice day for Caroline. Still can't believe she's six already. Donna, you always do such a nice job on every cake, meal, and party that you plan. Caroline, Roy and little Charlotte are lucky to have you for a momma. Thanks for the nice recap of today. Love the pictures.
Oh my can't believe she is getting so old so fast! Cute pictures and thanks for posting. Glad Roy Boy got to go to her room....sweet children you have. I do love being with them. Love you all......
What a beautiful "big" girl! (like her Mama!) Looks like she had a great day! Love the boot cake!!
LOVE this post. I feel like I was at the party too! BTW, Marg's want to have a party for Carol when you come up here. I told her we will see.
Okay, looks likes momma got a some sort of Happy Meal too!
GREAT party too Donna. You ALWAYS do great at your children's party's!
Glad I made Carol just a bit more giddy on her special day!
I am just now seeing this post. Wow! You did a great job on her bday as usual. Love the cake and I can see now why it was so hard to frost. Caroline looked like one happy girl and I know you helped her feel so special all day.
BTW, I love that RA had his sunglasses on in Caroline's class. He cracks me up. He had to be a cool cat with the big kids.
