Our Week

1. Last Sunday we headed on up to Montreat to see Roy's grandparents for the day. They hadn't met Charlotte yet, so we were able to introduce her to 3 of her great-grandparents! Here is Mama Jane holding 6th great-grandchild:

2. 3 out of 5 mornings, Caroline and I have a disagreement about her outfit choice for the day. On Tuesday morning, I was on the ball and had Charlotte dressed before Caroline came downstairs. When she saw her outfit she got so excited and reminded me that she had a matching dress. I had forgotten about that! She gladly put it on so she could match with her baby sister. I have been trying to get her to wear this dress for a while now. I should have thought of the matching trick earlier!!:

3. On Thursday, Caroline was out of school so the kids and I headed to Greenville to visit our friends, the Taylors! It was so fun to see them again and it was great to catch up with Jessica and see her new house. The kids were so cute together. When Caroline and Caleb saw each other they giggled and stood next to each other and just stared. I think they were embarrassed:) They soon got over it and played for a few hours. Here are four of the kids. Roy Austin would not cooperate for a picture. He was mad because he wanted to be in front of Caroline on the see-saw, as you can see in the play by play:

Guess who got her way?:

4. Here is a video of Caroline saying the OT books of the Bible. She is learning them in class and is very proud. She just came home saying it one day and Roy and I were shocked! It's been a good refresher course for us, too (sorry the video is sideways...I don't know how to fix that!):

5. And here is a video clip of sweet Charlotte. My mom wanted to see some recent pictures of her, so I thought I'd put up a living picture instead:

6. Roy and I had the BEST weekend this past weekend. I met Jane on Thursday night on our way home from Greenville and she took Caroline and Roy Austin home with her for the entire weekend. It was SO nice being able to take my time getting ready on Friday, feed Charlotte without being rushed, visit my doctor, relax during the afternoon, go on a date with Roy and then do some shopping on Saturday. The three of us mosied around Target with no kids bugging us, not having to rush home, we just browsed the aisles, got some Christmas ideas and literally had FUN! When we walked out of the door, I told him that I just experienced pure joy!! How easy and carefree life was with just one baby! More than anything, Roy and I just enjoyed spending time together. Thank you, Jane!! I truly needed this past weekend.

Great update Donna! I always love reading your posts and now I feel bad I haven't updated my blog since your last one. Caroline is so sweet singing her books of the Bible and months of the year. She's getting so big. Michael loved watching the video of Charlotte too. She's SO SWEET Donna! I see more Roy in her now but she still has some of you. I'm so glad you have a good little girl. And lastly, I'm so glad you got a weekend with Roy and ONE baby! Yah for Jane! Miss you!

I loved hearing little Caroline sing her song and say the books of the Bible. She really is learning a lot in her K Class. You did the right thing by putting her there.

Your post was so nice, and I loved seeing the video of little Miss Charlotte. Can't wait to see her in person on Tuesday. Miss all you guys so much.

Thank you, Jane, for giving Donna and Roy a little time together these past few days. It's so nice having family to take over from time to time.....a luxury I never had when I was raising the girls. It means a lot!!

Love the pictures and the videos......and I loved having Caroline and Roy Austin. They were such fun and very good. They crack me up and are very happy and laugh so quickly. Thanks for letting me have them. One day they won't want to come to stay with me so I will take them any time I can get them....Thanks for taking them up to see Pop and Mama Jane. It meant a great deal to them. Isn't Charlotte no. 7?

Yay! I am finally getting to read this post! I love the videos! I tell you what that Charlotte is so cute. She is still so small! I think she is a good combo of Gramham/Reber.

I'm so glad you got a weekend with just you two and the baby. That IS pure joy. Nanny McPhee is helping us to that next weekend! Me excited!

Hey, Jenny from the blog, may feel a bit slighted that you didn't stop by to see her. And, she even did a blog post JUST for you!

Girl, I wouldn't forget Jenny from the Blog. I called her on the way back and we had a good 'ol conversation:)

Denise, you are so funny. I'm glad you got that phone call in because we all know how sensitive Jenny can be these days.

This post was great!!! I loved the videos of your kids. That little Caroline is smart as a whip and Charlotte is a clone of her. She looks so much like a Graham, especially her dad. Sorry Donna! I don't see Reber in her. She is just so cute and you can tell how easy-going she is. You are so blessed. (I still have a baby gift to get to you before she turns 2.) I am always behind on everything these days.

It's taken me so long to comment on this post because I've been so mad at Donna for not stopping by my house. But, the Lord helped me overcome my anger and I've forgiven Donna.

All I will say about this post is that I LOVE CAROLINE'S SWEEEEET VOICE!!!! Oh my word, could totally listen to that child talk all day long!
