We were on after Denise's family. It was right at nap time and the whining had begun. I was a little nervous about the outcome of the pictures, but Luminosity (the photographers) came through for us!
19 years ago when my family moved into our new home, we had to hand water these trees that Daddy had planted with huge 10 gallon buckets. We HATED doing this, but Daddy would tell us about how in the years to come, we'd love these trees. How right he was! These oaks served as the backdrop to our pictures! Like I said, it was right during nap time (notice the happy smiles on Caroline and RoyBoy's faces):
I had this one printed in a huge size and it's going to be framed and put right smack, dab on our bedroom wall. Wooohoo! That's right.
Okay, since this is my blog, I'm going to brag. How cute are our kids?!
I wanted to cry because Roy Austin was a M-E-S-S this particular day and he would not sit still for any pictures. Denise's family did such a good job sitting still and posing and then when it was our turn...nothing. The kids wouldn't smile or look at the camera. Stephanie and Tammy just followed RoyBoy around and got such good candid shots! It was funny because they were literally running after or in front of him the entire time!

Awesome pictures!!! Such a handsome family! I love the story of "hand watering" those beautiful trees...kind of reminds me of raising children! We are "hand watering" them right now so they will grow up to be beautiful and strong...ok, cheesy "Mama moment" over! ;)
