We had our annual "First Day of School Breakfast" at Chick-fil-A:
Then we braved the crazy parking lot at school and headed in to her classroom. It's almost like you're on that show Wipeout when you go through the parking lot and hallways of WEE School. You have to dodge minivans, strollers, moms and children everywhere you go!
She found her hook and name tag outside of her classroom...
...and then went in to see her new teachers. I am SO happy Caroline got these teachers this year. Miss Kennette and Miss Karen are so sweet and loving and I think they're a great match for Caroline. She had no first day of school jitters. She walked right in and started playing!

This little guy was like a lost puppy this morning without his "Liney" (what he calls her). He moped around the house the whole morning and lit up when we went to pick her up:
She was happy to see her RoyBoy, too, and gave him her school sticker right away! Of course on our way home, I asked her a hundred questions about school...."did you make any new friends?", "what kind of stories did you read?" "who did you sit by at snack time"....only to hear "I don't know". SO frustrating!!! Here she is with her pretty artwork she painted:

Yea for Miss Liney!!! I'm so glad she had a nice time at school. She's a sweetheart! And isn't it nice to know that your children really do miss one another? Nice pictures! Hope you have a wonderful new school year.
Caroline looks so pretty in that first picture. I am loving that breakfast! Yummy. There is nothing like a CFA chicken biscuit!

Caroline is such a sweetheart...I had to make Sara pose for pictures before we left the house. The only reason she halfway cooperated once we got to school was because she saw several other moms with their cameras. I guess she realized I wasn't such a dork after all!
I'm glad she had a great first day and that we all got out of that insane parking lot in one piece. :)
Caroline looks SOOO excited! I love her hand on her hip in the 1st pic. Poooor Buddy missing his Liney. tell him AP will come play with him!
BTW, Does Caroline think Ms. Kennette is soooooo beautiful? She sure doesn't look like a preschool teacher. I bet she'll start pretending she's her when she plays school.

I'm laughing at HPS' comment. I thought the same thing. She's going to start calling her teacher "Barbie" before too long.
RA looks like such a big boy in the picture. He does look a little lost without Caroline. So cute!
She is just such a sweetie, Donna! I'm glaad she likes her class and hate for you that she isn't full of details :) I'd be asking all those questions too.

I'm so glad Caroline had a good day at school. I agree...she will be playing school pretty soon and role playing her teachers. Next year is the big year...K-5!! Enjoy this year first though. Happy Fall!!
First day of school, already!?!? I know she was thrilled out of her mind! She is getting so big, I just can't believe it.
I hope one day when I have kids I have it half together as you do. You got everyone ready and looking good and you had time for pictures on the porch and then still had time to get to breakfast! How do you do it? Just having Corey makes me late everywhere.

I am glad all went well on the first day of preschool. I agree that it is good to have a routine. It is shocking to think that next year will be the big K.

Caroline looks so much older than last year at this time. She looks so pretty all dressed up. I remember the excitement of that first day of school.
I am going to look into a preschool/MDO program for Olivia within the next year. She is my child who will need a program early for socialization. Where is the time going? DO you think we all will still be blogging when our kids go away to college?
