Commando Boy

For the past week when I go check on Roy Austin before I go to bed, I find this:

This boy LOVES to go commando. The minute I close his door each night after putting him to bed, he starts taking his pajamas and diaper off. I thought once I gave up on snap pajamas, he'd have a hard time taking pants off. Nope. So each night, between 10:30 and 11:00, I have to wake him to put his diaper and pajama bottoms back on. And the next morning, I'm met with the same exact scene--and a happy, grinning boy. Any suggestions on how to keep his diaper on him at night?

Oh, and by the way, that is not a pee spot next to him. His sheets are that chamois material and they get that look to them sometimes. I have to stand up for my little man:)

I'm LOL!!!! That's HILARIOUS Donna! Man, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe put him in a straight jacket at night? haha! Maybe they make pjs that don't have any snaps and only a few buttons at the top. Something harder to get out of.
His little bottom is so cute. I want to pinch it!

So funny. So boy! Maybe you should change his sheet. Maybe it is the sheet that feels good to him--if you know what I mean.

Denise, you are so funny!!!!

OK, I am re-entering the blog world after a month hiatus. I have so enjoyed catching up and reading all your posts. You have been a busy girl. Happy Belated Anniversary! I hope it was a special day.

Now about RA, Olivia does the same thing but if anything covers her diaper, i.e. panties, pants, etc. she will keep her diaper on. Since he knows how to take the pants off to then take off the diaper, the only thing I would suggest is pull-ups. They would be harder to take off versus a diaper. Maybe that would stump him for a while. He just wants the "boys" to get some air. HA!

Wow Kristi Smalley! That is a great idea! Pampers "pull ups" don't have the velcro sides and would be harder for him to get down. I think they are as absorbent as a diaper too--in my opinion.

HAHAHAHAHA! He gets this from his Auntie Dawnie! Haha! I HATE wearing underwear!

I agree with Denise, he probably does like the "feel" of the sheets. And I also agree with Kristi...he knows how to unattach his diaper so if you put a pull up on him, he'll have to pull down - which is a bit more tricky!

Good luck with that! LOL!!!

I love that boy and he's ALLL boy for sure. Denise, laughing!!!! I mean, can you blame him? Chamois vs. soggy, heavy, confining diaper?!? He's a smart one. I might see satin sheets in his future.

OK, this is random but this just reminded me of a funny story. Apparently, my uncle has always slept in the buff (which none of us knew). One night, he was at my grandmothers, went into his bedroom there and it was completely dark. He proceeded to get in his "jammies" and climb into bed to curl up to what he thought was his wife. Next thing he knew, he heard my GREAT grandmother, Beatrice, laughing uncontrollably. How's that for a startle?!? Wowzers!

umm, put a little Duck TAPE around the the Diaper...Duck Tape can solve the World's Problems!

Sleeps like his daddy! Naked.....
I say use duck tape.......It works great.....He can't get if off.....or masking tape and tape all the way to the back so he can't get hold of the end! My niece use to take her diaper off and play in her poop! Nasty nasty!!!! I won't mention her name but she is now a nurse in Asheville!!!

Just read down.....great minds think alike....Cissie suggested duck tape.....it works! They even have camo duck tape now so that will be good for hunting season!!!

Gonna have to confirm the duct tape - been there and it worked!

Okay, I am laughing so hard at all the comments! HPS - don't you think your uncle could have put some clothes on when staying in someone else's house??? Funny story!

And Jane told us the real story...Roy Boy learns it from his daddy. Donna, don't be holding out crucial info on us. :)

And Denise you've got a point. Maybe some burlap sheets would cure the problem.

Regardless, it sure makes for a CUTE picture and a great blog post! I know he will appreciate this one when he gets to be a teenager. :)

Oh, one more thing...Dawn, you one crazy girl! BUT, I'm totally with you. In fact, I won't tell the the story, but NOT wearing underwear actually got me a gift at my Bible study last year.

okay...its been a while since I read blogs but it was nice to catch up with you. brody takes his pants off too. I make him wear those one piece pajamas that zip up and snap at the neck so they can't unzip it. (i buy them at the childrens place) I cut the feet out so he doesn't get hot. it is THE ONLY thing that stays on and let me tell you he tries...but does not succeed. Ha!

Oh what a cutie! One of mine had the same problem. I bought big girl panties and put them over the diaper covered pj bottoms. She couldn't pull the panties off so the pajama bottoms and diaper stayed on!

Added bonus - had panties when PT started!

how old is he??? Potty training may be your answer. I know...not the answer any mom wants to hear. I have to-no, get to start that soon with my last! Yahoo! Undies feel so much better than diapers...or so I'd imagine!

Hey There!
It's been a while since I've been on your blog and you may have already solved this problem, but have you tried putting his diaper on backwards? Maybe he'd have a harder time finding the tabs? Ella pulled hers off one nap, only hers was full... not so much fun! Hope you guys are well!
