It was just about impossible to get a good picture of the kids together in their 4th of July outfits. Uncle Wil had to hold RoyBoy down for me to get a picture and even with his help, RoyBoy still didn't look at the camera!!
Even in a solo picture, he still wouldn't look. He was into EVERYTHING this weekend and I think his busy-ness even surprised Pop and Mama Jane (Roy's sweet grandparents).
Speaking of Mama Jane, she entered the family in the annual Montreat Parade. Uncle Phil decorated his jeep and he, Roy, Roy Austin and Wil rode in it while Kendra, me and the girls walked the parade route and passed out candy. It was fun!
Me and my candy-passer-outers:
Here are some other pictures from our time at the parade and the annual BBQ picnic:
The following pictures were taken after dinner on Saturday night. There was a huge rocking chair outside next door to the restaurant we went to. Roy Austin had a terrible, stinky, poopy diaper when this picture was taken. In the first one, Rachel is making a funny face, and in the second one, she's holding her nose!!!:
We all visited the Blue Cone before heading up to watch some fireworks. Uncle Phil made us laugh a lot with his stories while we ate ice cream...
...and while we waited for it to get dark outside. He told the kids a scary story about a spooky 3-legged cat named Fang. The looks on the girls faces says it all:
and after they started and after the screaming:
Caroline LOVED them:

hahah! I'm laughing at the story that Uncle Phil told about Fang. So funny! I can't believe Roy Austin didn't like the Fireworks! He loved them last year.
The pic on the huge rocking chair with Rachel holding her nose is so funny too! great pictures and I'm glad ya'll had a good time. Love your blue dress too by the way. So patriotic! :)
Thanks for putting all the pictures up..I loved seeing them. Made me miss even more not being there but the pictures are great!
Glad the weather was a little cooler and glad the kids had fun together. Mama Jane and Pop said the kids were wonderful.....they loved it.
Miss you all and love you. I tried to call but guess whose phone is full?
I'm glad you had such a nice time with your family there in Montreat. The pictures tell the story! All our our children are going to have such good memories of their childhood. Daddy and I were just talking about that yesterday....we wondered what kind of memories they will have. I know they'll be good, though, with all the fun things we do with them....and the love they get from everyone! Very nice post!!!
You caught some great expressions on the kids faces. Too cute! The weather was so nice this weekend and I'm sure even cooler in the mountains. You look great in your stylin blue dress Donna! That's a cute picture of you and the girls.
Quinn and his Coke, makes me laugh! Keeps him content for some awhile at least! So sad I missed it, but I give you girls two thumbs up for being in the parade, now you apart of family history!
cute pics! Roy Austin has the most gorgeous blue eyes ever!
Great pictures Donna! I can always count on you to get great pics and recap all the family outings that we miss! I get to feel like I was there...sort of. Wish we could've been there. I can't believe you were in the parade. I loved your dress. hannah screamed at the first firework but then she warmed up and liked them. She was a little trans like though b/c ours didn't start until 10:15. It was a late night.
Good post Donna! Glad you guys had a happy 4th. :) Loved all the pics!!
Loved the pictures! What great memories for you and your family.
Looks like good times. I am laughing at you walking in a parade and also at the picture of poor RA with the stinky diaper.
I love that picture of RA waiting for the fireworks to start....he looks like such a little man. Where did your baby go?
