I know, two posts in one day. This one is for me, because writing is therapeutic sometimes...
Roy Austin's latest obsession? The toilet. Yes, when the house is quiet, I go right to the bathroom and I usually find him there unrolling toilet paper or playing in the potty. Believe me, I keep the door closed, but my little Houdini knows how to open them at 15 months. Yesterday, I didn't hear him so I ran into the bathroom to discover him sticking toilet paper in the toilet only to take it out and suck the water off of it. Isn't that disgusting??? I disinfected him and smacked his hands.
Get a closer look, by all means:

Along with an entire roll of toilet paper stuffed into the toilet is my copy of our Dish Network receipt from yesterday's installation. Believe me, I'm not laughing. When I saw it I muttered RoyBoy's name under my breath and stopped and made myself take a picture.

So today, after I put the kids down for their naps, I went into the bathroom and found this waiting to greet me:

This afternoon, I was on the phone with Nancy. This is what happened in the hallway during our conversation:
This is what happened after another hand smacking:

HA!!! Okay, I'm only laughing because it's not my toilet! I guess this is what I'm in store for, right?! That is totally disgusting about him sucking water from the toilet paper though. Yuck-o
I'm LOL too! That's so funny but only because I'm reading about it and looking at the pictures. Roy Boy is so funny! It's good you took a picture.
I am HOWLING right now! Sucking the water out of the TP and throwing in the Dish Network receipt??? HILARIOUS!!!
By the way, don't you smack that boy's hand too hard, okay?
Oh Donna!!!!That boy is funny. Funny for us, but not so much for you. I cant believe he was sucking water off the TP! I bet you wanted to DIE!
You are always so excited for your children to start crawling and walking and then when they do and start doing things like this, you wish they were little babies again that just stayed wherever you put them. At least thats how I felt
PT (Poooooor Thing)!!! AP and Buddy had a similar day discipline wise. Those faces melt me no matter how upset I get. How do you not laugh?
PS did RB get a haircut?
Cute post Donna! So sorry! He sure is a cutie.
That poor little guy. He's just trying things out, and having lots of fun doing it at the same time. Can you resist that sorrowful little face? Come to Grammy, Roy Boy. I'll make it all better!!!
LOL! Hopefully you were able to smile a little?!? Oh to think what is in store for you and the little guy! :O)
Oh NO!! I am NOT looking forward to these days and with Winnie walking now I'm sure they are just around the corner, ahhh! Good for you to vent via blog, so we can all have a good laugh (with you)!! His face says it all, and its a classic!!
Poor thing, what a mean mommy giving him a spanking when he is obviously trying to learn to potty train himself!!
I never had one that played in the toilet, but Lindsay sure loved to unroll the TP..and she actually still likes to unroll the whole thing if we leave her in there unattended because she says "I need privacy!"
Good Luck!! I LOVE your mom's comment! "Come to Grammy.." So cute!
Very cute and funny!! You need to somehow sneak up on him and video him doing it!!
You are right Jan.....he needs a grandmother!!! I am in Alaska, go recue him....Just teasing Donna but Roy gets it from his daddy. Big Roy was always quietly getting into stuff. He would get in the flour and syrup....at the same time. I use to get so tired of cleaning up after him and when I would spank him I would look at the pitiful blue eyes and it would "almost" break my heart.
Jane, I bet reading things about Roy Austin really brings you back. I can just picture big Roy getting into so much stuff. Now you can just laugh and don't have to worry about the clean up. :)
You are right Dolly.....Sometimes he looks a lot like his daddy but mostly I see your side of the family in him esp. your daddy. My mother in law use to look at Roy and say, "He has the face of an angel and acts like an imp!" His eyes are his daddy's and the way he looks at you......He is sooooo cute. I hope he grows up to be like your daddy.....what an awesome man he would be....
Oh what fun you will have sharing these moments when RA is older and in love!
Donna, I am so sorry that I am laughing so hard right now. HILARIOUS!!! Poor RoyBoy....he is just spreading his wings and learning about city sewer systems and the public water department and he gets a spanking. POOR BABY!
Oh My!!! looks like my house last week. getthose door handle thingys. They worked great at my house and he can't get in the bathroom anymore. Hishair has been dry all week!
