Last night, a birthday came early for a little man we know. Daddy brought home one of Roy Austin's birthday gifts. Caroline has this little bee scooter that he loves but it's too big for him plus when he plays with it, his big sister gets so mad. So we got him the smaller version so they can be busy bees together:
It was cute seeing them scoot around the house together. But someone started to get a little bossy telling her brother how to ride it and how to follow her:

All that bossing around must have made her tired, because when we turned in for the night, this is how I found her when I went in to check on her:

She was laying right inside her bedroom door. Don't ask me why. We still haven't figured it out. Notice the beatiful "Belle" skirt she snuck out of bed to put on, after we told her not to get out of bed. Now Caroline, if you're going to disobey your parents, make sure you at least hide the evidence. The Belle skirt totally gave away your bed escape, plus the Dorothy basket with your red shoes in it that was sitting next to your pillow, which definitely was not there when we put you to bed. Hmmm....

Roy and I had a good laugh!

I think that the "Kansas Tornado" placed her back in the doorway...SO CUTE!
That is hilarious about the skirt/shoes! Donna, were you copying my blog post about an early b-day toy? Just kidding--I just saw your comment on my blog. That's funny...I LOVE the matching bees. Those are like the cow one you got Dolly, right?
Cute! I love a girl with fashion sense AND one who can take charge!( Kinda like Sarah Palin??!!)
I hope you will put a picture of Roy Austin's birthday banner up on your blog! I love my Thankful one and I just gave them to my sisters in law!
BUT!!! My friend has the Cricut (totally cool) cutting machine..and we made a "Go Lions" banner for a bulletin board in my daughter's HS gym! It was so cute...now if I could just talk my husband into lettting me get my OWN Cricut!!
Inger, I'm a little worried b/c I ordered my banner 2 weeks ago telling her I needed it by Oct. 25 and she just sent it today!! YIKES!
Too cute! I love the ruby slippers in the basket. That girl has some kind of imagination.
And about the banners. I ordered one too. However I did notice on her blog today that she is explaining that she is overwhelmed and behind. I guess business is good. Inger, I had the same thougt about the cricut. You could definitely make these if you had one, but those things a expensive!
"Dorothy" is adorable! She's so smart to figure all of this out.
And I love the bees.
Silly Carol. That is a hoot and a half! I feel her all the way. That was totally me. It's hard work being the big sissy of little brothers. You have to teach them EVERYthing! :)
Donna, that is hilarious! Wouldn't you love to have a hidden camera in their rooms to see exactly what these little turkeys do when we're not looking? And I wonder what it was that made her just lay down right there? Oh, and she looks so cute in her little jeans/top outfit...stylin! :)
The bees are SO cute!!!!
The same tornado was bouncing around my upstairs a few times when I put her to bed. She use to never get out of the bed but now she sneaks out and runs around. When I would sneak up her eyes would just about pop out of her head...then she would take off to her room and jump in the bed! Funny girl you have...
Roy Austin looks so much like a little boy now and not a baby--he's a cutie! Love their matching bees!
I tell my kids that all the time. If you are going to sneak something, at least hide the evidence!! Today I was thinking about dressing my children up like the scarecrow, tin man, and lion for RA's birthday!
Dayna! Caroline would LOVE that because today she asked me who was going to be the lion, scarecrow and tin man. Won't Gracie and Janna want to have girlie costumes, though?
BTW, I left some box tops and campbells labels on mom's counter for your kids.
LOL! Caroline is too funny! The bees are so cute and I love that they match. What a good blogger you are to take a picture of her asleep in the doorway. :O)
Happy 1st birthday to precious Roy. The first birthday is such a milestone and such a celebration of all God has done in the first twelve months of an addition to the family.
Caroline, you are brilliant! You are living up to your name for sure. Love how you placed the slippers in the basket and played until there was no energy left.
Lastly, those bees rock!
Oh man...I hope the banner comes on time..just adding to your stress for the big day!! AHHHH! Sounds like business is good for her!!
Nikki.. I have been checking out those cricuts and silhouette cutting systems, do you know which one is easier to use?
Donna, those bees are TOO cute! Roy Austin seemed so enthused with his coaching sessin.
I almost didn't recognize Caroline in pants. Ha!
Happy 1st Birthday, Sweet Roy Boy!
that is so funny...and, believe me, i know how she feels! it wears you out when ppl don't do what you want them to do!
is caroline wearing jeans? maybe she has been on previous posts and i just missed it but this is the first time i've noticed she doesn't have a dress on! she looks so cute! i love her outfit!
Funny Donna! Bless her heart! Harry tells me all the time, "Mommy, I played with my toys during nap time!" Too cute!
I can hardly believe it has been 1 year since RA came into the world! Time sure does fly! Sarah sure does love her rolly thing too. Too sweet that they each have their own and their own size. I am so sad we are missing RA's smashing costume birthday party:( Let's get together when we get back from LU.
