Here is the blessed one with her three jealous sisters. We are all giving her the one-over and wondering, "Why, God? Why?!".
Perhaps the highlight of the weekend was finally meeting our blog friends, Jennifer and Kristi! We met these girls on our blogs back in January and we've all become Internet friends! Weird and creepy, yes, I know. But I think we may have formed friendships here! About a month ago, Denise and I got up the nerve to invite them to Dolly's shower as a surprise. We thought they'd think we were psycho, but apparently they are, too, because they both said yes. Jennifer lives in Greenville, SC and Kristi lives in Dallas. Yep. Dallas, TEXAS! She must really like us. Dolly's face was priceless when she looked at the door and saw two familiar faces walking in. It was a great moment! Here they are entering Graham Central Station. Sorry the picture is so dark:
She's threatened to "come up there and steal RA" for months now, but I think she really meant it. In the first five minutes of walking in the door, "Auntie Jenny" took RoyBoy and didn't give him up for about an hour. They bonded instantly and I think we may have found a new weekend sitter for when we go out of town:) Auntie Jenny even joined the kids at the kid table for a little get-to-know-you. She was a hit:
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you from top left, Simply Smalley, Mighty Max, Jokin' With the Johnsons, The Shout Out, From Peach to Palmetto, Graham Central Station, My Life in Southwest Florida, The Dolly Mama, and Our Life in Good 'ol Rocky Top!
Simply Smalley and Mighty Max decided to join us for dinner and I think they finally rolled out of Charlotte around 8:30! It was so much fun getting to finally meet them in person. We could have talked all night. After this weekend, I think the Internet is an interesting way to meet people. You can get to know the person so well that when you finally do meet them, it's as if you've been friends for years. I can now understand how people participate in E-harmony:) Did that just make me sound like a weird Internet person?!Check out the other blogs above for more pictures of the weekend.
And bless Roy's sweet, compassionate, little heart. He had to live in a house full of girls this past weekend. Although he complained and complained and then complained some more, we know he secretly loved it. Here is the 'ol sport surrounded by "The Hens" (what he calls me and my sisters when we get together):
So the party is over, the guests have left, the sheets are getting washed and my husband is packing up to head to Africa for 10 days. You know what that means...I will be posting a lot!

I'm SO SAD I missed the shower! How fun that the blogger world united face to face! I'm so glad they could make it and I know it made Dolly feel SO loved. Dolly, you did get the prego genes--you look smokin!
I hate that I missed it! :(
Everyone (especially Dolly!) looked so beautiful all dressed up! How fun that all the blogger girls were there.
Great recap, Donnie! Gooood post, gooood post. I can't wait to see everyone else's. LOL @ your eharmony comment, the jealous sissy pic AND Roy w/ da henz. :)
PS...we missed Amy, JDay AND JoyChafin!!!!
Well Donna...I really thought we had bonded and had each others backs, but since you put that NASTY picture of me holding Roy Boy I may have to reevaluate your commitment level to me. Way to go, Jennifer...way to make a first impression!
We had a great time! I will say that Kristi and I were worn out today. We both agreed that our jaws were probably the most used and most tired...although, we don't know whether it was from the eating or talking! (you know all those tomato tarts that kept showing up on my plate)
I will also second the jealousy over Dolly and her pregnancy body. I mean, I'm happy for her and all, but c'mon Dolly...just one hint of fat would be nice! :) She looks AWESOME!!! (that's for you HPS)
Great host, Donna...way to set the standard for blogunions to come!!!
Thank you for such a great post. Dolly and Denise look great. How fun to see a photograph of all the gorgeous Reber girls all grown up. What a wonderful memory that all of you could be together to celebrate the approaching birth of Dolly's baby.
Please let me know if you need anything while Roy is away.
That was a wonderful shower and it did feel like a reunion in some way. I sure do miss Dolly and Christy being in Charlotte.
I loved meeting Jennifer and Kristi too! What great ladies and they felt like they just fit with all us girls:)
You Reber girls sure throw a great shower. Great food (which I am hoping to steal some of those recipes from Din-Din), and great company!! Loved it. You Rebers sure are a blessing to be around. Oh and P.S. I missed JDay!!! Next time.
Looks like yall had a blast! Plan another blogunion and include the blessing blog herself!!
I'll be looking for the yummy recipes on wfdd!
I forgot to comment on how much I love the prom pic! Denise, you look so great, too! And I really wish I could've seen you.
Also, I really wanted to meet Suzanne and HPS! I'm sure I'll be in the Charlotte area soon to go to Mary Jo's fabric store and also to go Christmas shopping, so I'll be sure to invite myself to lunch with all of you girls!
Okay, Jennifer. Nasty picture???? I think I win the mama hog nasty picture look. "Why Lord?" Well, it is what it is.
Love the post Donna. So far I am just going to post on my blog-"Fun Weekend in the Queen City" Click her to see picture. And, then have links to you and JFTB blogs.
Laughing at the "prom" pictures!
Yes JDAY! We all missed you! Sniff Sniff!
Great post Donnie! I still haven't had time to blog about it yet but it was SUCH a fun shower! Thank you girls for all you did to make it so special. It really WAS the highlight of the shower having Mighty Max and Simply Smalley there. What a treat to meet those girls.
Julie D, we missed you too but we'll have to plan on seeing you again soon.
Way to recap! It was such a fun day and always great to see everyone again!! And meeting new friends. Glad everyone had safe travels home. :O)
Can't wait to meet Mr. Michael!!
Wow, what a par-TAY! Sounds like fun!
It was SO great seeing these pictures --- Dolly, you are LOOKING GOOD, girl! And...it was SO FUN having Christy at my house, too!! How fun to have former roomies pregnant with BOYS at the same time!! Thanks, Donna, for revealing all of the bloggers "faces" ---it's fun to see who everyone is!
"Blogunion"...I love it! That is so great that you invited some of your internet blogger friends! Dolly looks AMAZING. She looks like an actress who has a fake belly strapped to them..no puffy face or hamhock thighs, just a little belly. Glad you girls had a great weekend together!
The shower was AMAZING and it was so great/refreshing seeing everyone again! I left with a full cup after being loved on so much! It was also great meeting Jennifer & Kristi too. :)Dolly, you are one blessed girl to have so many people who LOVE you and baby Michael!!!
