Denise and her family came up to Virginia last week to visit for a week. My parents took two of Denise's kids with them on a little getaway to Pigeon Forge, TN, so Denise and Danny and their youngest two were living it up in Forest, VA for a few days. Since my husband is traveling, I decided to journey on up there for a little over 48 hours. I hadn't seen Danny and Maddie since Christmas and it's always nice to get the cousins together.

Remember how I said Roy Austin crawls everywhere? Well, we were busy and had dinner to prepare, so we closed Margaux and RoyBoy in the family room. They were not too happy. They were both screaming and banging on the door like they were being tortured or something. Roy Austin kept sliding his nose on the window pane, making it look like a pig snout. So here he was crying and looking like a pig and we were laughing hysterically back at him. Poor boy.
Grammy, Grandaddy and the two Logans arrived back home on Wednesday just in time for a little cookout and fun with ALL 10 grandchildren. Here they are in no specific order: Juette, Danny, Harrison, Caroline, Janna, Maddie, Grayson, Wyatt, Roy Austin and Margaux. Two more will be added by early December.

If you think this picture looks chaotic, think about our family this Christmas. By the way, Doesn't my Mom look pretty?! Her shirt reads "Just Call Me Genius" (personal joke) and it was a funny gift that Denise gave her yesterday. She obligingly put it on:

Here they are. Twenty dirty, stinky "I've been playing outside all day long" feet. Aren't they cute?

I had to show my sisters how Roy Austin smiles automatically when the camera is out and pointed in his general direction. He did not disappoint. No sirree.

My sister, Dayna, and two of her blessings. She's glowing because school starts this coming Monday and she'll only have 1 child during the day. Hey, here's a question for you. If she had a blog, would you read it? We have been trying for a year now to turn her into a blogger. I already have a blog name for her: The Renalds Wrap. I don't think it's going to happen.

No cousins were hurt in this picture. Actually it turned out so well on accident! I put the babies in the jeep because it was just their size. Harry (our family clown) got under the jeep and pulled it over him. I thought it would be a funny picture so I told him to open his mouth like he was getting hurt. I guess Wyatt wanted to copy the face.

Caroline is obsessed with her oldest cousin, Maddie. Maddie is so sweet with her and caters to Caroline's every need (just what she needs). Maddie gave her a bath last night and then wanted to sleep with her. I made sure she knew what she was getting in to, but she insisted. They had a great time together reading books and doing hair. Thanks Maddie!
Then this morning I came into the kitchen to find my Daddy making his famous pancakes. You don't understand how good these things are until you place a bite into your mouth. I have tried and tried but I can't duplicate his recipe! Roy Austin loved his pancake, minus the syrup, of course:

My compliments to the chef! I think the kids agree...Grandaddy's pancakes are the BEST! By the way, if you look really carefully all the way to the right, you can see Denise's baby bump right above the highchair tray!
Before we left to come back to Charlotte, Roy Austin and Wyatt squeezed in some QT while laying on the hammock.
We got home late this afternoon and now it's time to do laundry and repack our family for our beach vaca 2008. More to come on that later!

Awww..how cute! Wow! 10 grandchildren! I love that "feet" picture. Roy Austin has such a cute smile! And all those teeth :)
How special for your parents to have all 10 grandchildren together at their house for some summer play time! Maddie is growing into a beautiful young lady. :O) That was very sweet for her to cater/love on Caroline. I know Caroline LOVED it! Gooood recap! One thing, no picture of all five sisters?
As always, good recap. I knew you would have a great post by the time you got home tonight. I love the picture of Roy and Wyatt spending some QT together.
Be on the look out this time tomorrow for us. We'll be the ones with the big HORN! Can't wait!
So sweet. I love the expression on Caroline's face in the picture with Maddie. It looks like she's in heaven!
HOW FUN!!!! I swear I'm looking at one of my family's get-togethers when I see all your pictures...except we have 11 grandchildren so you will beat us come December. :) In fact, Dayna looks so much like my older sister, Shari. Maybe it's just that picture but I swear they could be sisters. And yes, she needs to start a blog. Tell her if Denise can do a blog with 5 kiddos then surely she can muster up the strength to do one too. :) AND, she already has a fan base waiting for her!
Your mom is beautiful! She's so hip too...way to go Genius! Must have been that Bob Jones education...
The "feet" picture is so cute! I love how the babies looked like they were just placed on top...they were probably wondering what the heck was going on. :)
What beach are y'all going to? Most importantly, does your house have wireless? HA HA
Loved the recap...what fun! And I love the picture of all of those dirty feet. PRECIOUS!
Ohhhh...I LOVE cousins!! Our family was all together this summer at our camp...all 10 Luff grandchildren catching frogs, snakes and polliwogs(Ewww), riding go-Karts, swimming and eating!! We had a ball.. and the moms only have about 800 pictures!!
NOTHING is more important than Family!! Great post, looks like a loving bunch! Lucky Grandparents to have them all semi-close by...
What a great post! I loved the pic of your parents with all the grandkids. The neat thing is that it looks like they are having a ball, not stressed at all.
Now, you Reber girls have got to explain the Jenius thing. Nobody has ever explained that name to us. I am Reber adopted sister #8 or #9 so I have a right to now these things.
I laughed at the picture of Margaux and RA banging on the door like jailbirds. Hilarious! They were probably plotting together to really lay it on thick.
Maddie is such a sweet cousin. You raised her well, Denise. Lastly, please post your dad's pancake recipe on What's for Din-Din. You have me so intrigued!
What a great post and I love the fact that you are heading for fun in Florida. That is awesome!
Yes, I think it would be awesome if Dayna had a blog. Please do it Dayna...please!
Good recap Donna! You always have such goooood recap's.
We are home now and I am going to post a few pic's too, but I might as well say, "just go to Donna's blog and read about my week."
Love you, Denny
I love reading about the Reber's!! With 10 grandchildren I am sure there is never a dull moment. Good visit, Donna!
