This past week, Cissie came to stay with us for a few days while she did some work here in Charlotte. It was so nice having her stay with us. Caroline loved it and Roy and I loved going on a date on Tuesday night! Corey flew into Charlotte on Wednesday night, so he was here for a little bit this morning. Caroline is a little timid around Uncle Corey and she wanted nothing to do with him. Sorry, Corey! It's not you.FYI, the ASU football team got nominated for an ESPY award this year, so Corey and Cissie are headed to LA soon for the red carpet! They are excited and we are happy for them! Go ASU!
Here are the two lovebirds trying to coax Caroline to play with Uncle Corey. They took the measures of playing with Cinderella's Castle to get her attention. Caroline didn't come over to them, but she giggled over two adults playing with toys.
When that didn't work, this Cincinnati Bengal tried giving Caroline a cool Bengals sunvisor, but again...it didn't help. He finally just scooped her up and she tried her hardest to pull away.
Have a fun and safe 4th of July! We'll be in Montreat, NC for the day and then back to the Queen City to watch the fireworks!

FTC!!!!! What a nice time you all had together, and I'm so glad. I know Cissie is glad to get any time she can with Corey. Hopefully they'll be together soon and won't have to be apart for long periods of time. Nice pictures! You all have a wonderful weekend, too. Love you all.

I hope you let Corey know that it's not just him. It's taken her almost 2 years to finally start to warm up around Uncle Leland. Maybe she's afraid of big manly men?
