I'm back from my blogging sabatical in Lynchburg. We had such a wonderful time relaxing and being on "Reber Time". Visiting home is such a refreshing place to return to. The weather was great and the kids had such a fun time being together and running around in Grandaddy and Grammy's yard. It was nice to send them outside and not worry about them! I had a great time with my sisters and parents, too. Here is another picture montage featuring our week in Virginia:

Here is my sweet Daddy Boy fixing his famous Saturday Morning Pancake Breakfast. He has done this since I can remember. They are the yummiest, most scrumptious pancakes around. Look at those golden babies!

Saturday night, we celebrated my Mom's birthday. 9 out of the 10 grandchildren were there to help her celebrate and all five of her little blessings were there, too. She was happy and we had a fun night!!

Sunday morning before church, Grandaddy held the kids as we waited for Grammy to finish getting ready. They sat and sang songs. Harrison Jack joined them for the picture.

Monday afternoon, Denise and I met my sister Dayna at my parent's church for lunch with the kids and to go play in the indoor playground. Here is Caroline, Janna and Harrison Jack playing in a tree.

Classic Margaux Jeanne. Looking precious with her pacifer in her mouth.
TRBC's indoor playground is so cool. I wish our church had one. Here are the kids sitting in the mouth of the fish that ate Jonah!

Later that night, my parents watched 7 kids all by themselves and my four sisters and I went out for a night on the town. Watch out Lynchburg! We are some crazy, crazy girls. I'm not sure what Dolly's doing in this picture?! Poor Mom. At one point in the evening, she had one child doing a poopoo on the potty, one doing a poopoo in her pants and one about to have a blow-out right after, in his diaper. Mine were two of the culprits.
Our sister, Dayna, met up with us at La Carretta for some yummy Mexican food. We forgot it was Cinco de Mayo. This restaurant was packed! Is it just me, or does my head look gigantic in this very unflattering photo?

Dayna had to say bye after dinner because her kids had school the next day. Not ours! The rest of us went to the glorious River Ridge Mall cinema to go see
Baby Mama. As you can see from the looks on my sisters' faces, this movie is funny...

...really, really
FUNNY! And yes, we like to pose our pictures to make our points. Side note: During the previews, a really scary preview came on for a movie called
The Strangers. It was SOOO creepy. We were all afraid we were going to keep thinking about what we saw after we turned our lights out for the night.

Danny learned how to drive the golf-cart this past weekend and he kept asking people if they wanted rides....over... and over... again! It was neat to see him be so proud of something, though. He's only 7 and does a great job!

Tuesday night was Juette's soccer game. I kept telling him I was going to make signs and bring them along to help cheer on the team. His mom thought I was joking. Much to her and her husband's dismay I was not. I think they were a little annoyed and embarrassed. See, in this picture, they are totally ignoring me. Yikes!!
I mean, I spent some serious time and effort on these signs. I will say, though, that they were a HIT with my neices and nephews. I even had a cheer made up for the Tigers.

"T-I-G-E-R-S! T-I-G-E-R-S..." I'll refrain from typing out my whole cheer, but look at the cute, little goalie in action! Gooooooo, Juette!

#4! Go, Big Orange!! Look how cute he is with his hot, rosey cheeks and sweaty head:) He kept reminding me that he made 2 goals.
Shoo! I'm getting tired. We're almost done. Okay, on Wednesday, Denise, Dolly and I drove to Danville, VA to meet Julie Day for lunch! Julie is a serious blog lurker, for one thing, and a
great seamstress as well. She is always so fun to be around and she kept us all laughing for 4 hours...I'm serious! Julie, leave some comments already!

On the way back home, we made a little pit-stop at Dairy Queen for some yummy blizzards. I'm not going to try to explain this picture. It has me laughing, though!!

My lovah' boy in the back seat with me. Again, my mom watched 3 of the kids for us that day. She earned the name of "Grammy" this week for sure.

Wednesday night after dinner, Grandaddy, Harrison Jack, Margaux and Caroline enjoyed some ice cream on the porch. It was a beautiful night and we ended up sitting and rocking on the porch for a while.
Then Dawn picked me up to go see her new house! She moves in this next week and she is one excited girl. I would be, too. Check out this kitchen?!! Let me loose in that thing and I could whip you up a serious meal.

And give me a few hours in this bathroom, and I can come out a very clean girl. Wow! This shower includes a steam shower, which is Roy's dream must-have. I told Dawn that the next time we come in town, expect some house guests.
So there you have it! Our week in pictures. Now I have to do laundry and re-pack. Tomorrow Caroline's school has a Mother's Day program and then we are heading to Boone for Cissie's graduation and Mother's Day. Stay tuned!

wow! FTP! What a recap. I'm sure that DID make you tired. It was fun having you home and wish you lived here or could stay longer. My favorite pic is "Not I but Christ".
Have a great time in Boone and drive safe!
AAAAHHHHHH!!!! What a wonderful post! Applause is going on all over the country right now.
I will comment more in detail later but GREAT JOB! Loved the post and I know you girls all had a blast in Lynchburg.
Top Dawg....the house is TO DIE FOR!!
Your post did not disappoint! I loved the recap and can see why you love going home. What peaceful setting and fun, wonderful family! Glad you all had such a good time and made fun memories. The kiddos are getting so big! Oh, and I got a tour of Dawn's house a few weeks ago and all I can say is "WOW!!!" It's so beautiful!
Donna, I am not even going to recap my trip. You did it for me. EVERYONE--reread The Stations post, then ditto that for my blog post! Donna you are incred, simply incred! Love the "Not I" picture too! And girl, me love you!
I'm glad you had so much fun at home! It looks like you all stayed pretty busy. I love the whoe re-cap of the week. You dont' miss a thing! See you tomorrow!
Donna, I wholeheartedly agree! What a great recap ---it's SO fun seeing all of your sisters together ---makes me wish I had even ONE! And what wonderful memories you are making for the kids w/ your parents and family ---so awesome! We are headed for the Burg tomorrow ---our Evan is walking with the Liberty Home Bible Institue grads on Saturday ---he's so excited! He finished in record-time ---7 1/2 months --and wants to go this fall to LU -- another "miracle" we weren't sure would happen since he has a mild cerebral palsy. But God is good and Evan is SO ready to go where both his sisters have been. OK...that may have been too much information --haha! Glad you're back!
Now that is what I would call a serious blog there donna! That had to take some time uploading!
Dang, Dawn...Love your house!
Dolly, you are looking great! I love Dawn's house!! I just wish I could have been there to enjoy some Reber laughter and your daddy's home cooking!! Those pancakes look yummy! Hilarious that Dana and her family were ignoring you, they were probably like, "Here she goes with the blog again" LOL! You are busy girl lately. Enjoy Boone!
Oh and I am so glad you posted a pic of Julie Day. She is sooo sweet! and she is a beautiful lady.
Great post DJ! I love all of the pics! I am going to have to steal some from you to post around the house!
It was so nice to have all the sisters together. What a great memorial weekend!!
Donna,
Your head looks fine but "the Ladies" well that is another story. Glad you had just fun with your sisters..the pictures are great. I am staying at Dawn's house too. Hope she has extra bedrooms. Dolly please leave Roy and Donna alone......we like them in NC! Maybe all the Rebers should move to NC since you are our family and we love you too..
Glad you had such a great time! LOL at the laughing pictures (movies) those are really funny. And those pancakes look DELISH!! :)
Jane...
They are s l o w l y becoming ladies again:) I'll show you in a few hours.
OK, I have to leave my real comments now. First of all, you need to show us a picture of your parents place. From what I see, it looks like a resort...so green and peaceful and gorgeous. No wonder it is such a respite when you all go home to the Burg. Your parents are the BOMB!
Also, I laughed at the poster at the game thing. That is SO something I would do and my family would also have the same reaction.
I forgot about that Mexican restaurant in L.Burg. I used to eat there at LU and it would give me a feeling of being close to home. I'm glad Dayna got to join you. In Denise's post, she had mentioned that you 4 had gone to a movie and I was a little worried that poor Dayna had been left out and yall weren't on speaking terms. WHEW! Glad things are good in the Reber family. No, your head doesn't look too big...I am laughing at Jane's comments about "The Ladies". There were MANY ladies sitting at that table that night.
I laughed at the movie picture. You guys should win Academy awards. We never would have suspected that yall were staging. (Hmmmmm). The one of you with your mouth open dying laughing is hilarious.
OK, What is Dolly holding up in DQ? I couldn't read the sign. You look great Dolly but I must say.....your "LADIES" are...shall we say.....PLUMP!
I am going to see Baby Momma on Saturday just off the Reber girls hysteria on this blog. It better be that funny!!!!
Thank you, Reber girls, for the fun time on Wednesday! And thank you for lunch, Denise! I didn't realize how long we had been there-I felt so bad that I kept you girls so long! But it was so good visiting and laughing...you girls never disappoint!
YES! Julie commmented! I guess it took having a picture of her on the blog to get a peep out of her. Make it a habit, Julie. Make it a habit.
Kristi, I hope you think the movie was funny, too. I hate when you hear someone say a movie is so good and then you go see it only to be dissapointed. I must say, though, for it being an SNL person movie, it was very clean.
Welcome back, Donna! So fun to read about you and your family. Okay, Dawn has a beautiful home AND a convertible..is she a rock star or what? Seriously though, that kitchen is to die for...I could eat some awesome takeout in there.
I was laughing at all of you in the convertible because all of you had similar sunglasses and 3 of you all had ponytails...did you get some looks from a few fellas? :)
Glad you had a great time!
Welcome back to NC. I love all the photographs and the recap of your week. I must say all of you reber ladies are as beautiful now as you were growing up. It looks like a great time and I LOVE your sister's bathroom and kitchen.
That is one serious recap! Your mom must be superwoman to watch all of those kids! Ha! Ha! Dawn's house is gorgeous!
Pheweee...I need to catch up on all these comments. I'm singing "Reunited and it feels so good" after looking at all the pics.
Happy Birthday JENIUS!!!! I know you loved having everybody home!
It's good to see Dayna's eyeballs too. Lookin good, Dayna, loooooking good! That JuJu's a QT too!
Way to catch up, Don Don! You could be a photojournalist. I think SP is looking for one in Sudan.:)
Donna, great post honey.
I must say I love the picture of all you girls (JUST you girls) eating together and enjoying a night out. How lovely! I love to see my reber girls all together and happy and lovin' on each other!
