Graduation: Boone there, done that.

It was another busy weekend for our family. First off, Caroline had her Mother's Day celebration at school on Friday afternoon. It was cute to see her and all of her little friends waiting in the classroom for the mommies to come in. She was so excited to give me a present they made in class of our handprints:

That evening we left to go to Boone for the weekend. Caroline had a sleepover that night with Aunt Cissie and Uncle Corey and she did pretty well! Saturday was a beautiful day that got off to a great start--let me give a shoutout to my mother-in-law, Jane, for taking the baby for me that morning and sending me back to bed! Woohoo! Roy and I slept in until 10:00! I haven't done that in a long while. If that wasn't good enough, that night she kept both kids in her room! Needless to say, I slept great, she didn't. Thanks, Jane!!

So as I was saying, Saturday was a great day. We spent the entire morning and early afternoon home and playing outside. Quinn and Wil showed up right at lunch time and afterwards, Caroline and Quinn had fun running outside and watching Uncle Corey practice his fly fishing:
I showed Caroline and Quinn what dandelions were and we had fun blowing them in the wind.
It's the simple things in life! Oh, to be a kid again and have no worries.
Then we went on to ASU for a long graduation ceremony! Here is Roy and some of his family looking at their watches and waiting for the show to get on the road. I love that they posed for me! Seriously, we sat in those hard yellow chairs for 3 and a half hours. But we are happy to report that everyone in our families have graduated so we are free from graduation duty until Caroline graduates from kindergarten. YES!

Cissie Graham Lynch B.S. Communications/Public Relations.

Our family minus Franklin (who was in China), Kendra, Edward, Kristy and all the kids.

The glad grad and her hubby, who also graduated but chose not to walk. Party pooper.

Kendra and the kids showed up after we got home from graduation. That night we had a delicious meal followed by Cissie's great idea of a fondue dessert session. Here is Kendra trying to decide which to dip first--strawberries, pound cake, pineapple or marshmallows? I personally was a fan of the bananas.

Another staged picture of the fun we all had fonduing. The Grahams are great posers.

We woke up Sunday to a cold, rainy Mother's Day. We all went to church together and then returned home for a scrumptious tenderloin that Roy made and a warm fire created by Wil. Jane made her delicious dip for a little appetizer. Is she purposely turning her back on me?! We also spent the afternoon watching an Indiana Jones marathon on TV.

It was a nice, relaxing weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves. Here are my two reasons for celebrating!

Donna, it looks like your sister-in-law graduated from ASU in Tempe? That is where we live right now! Glenn (my hubby) got his MBA on Saturday from ASU at Wells Fargo...ceremony at 9 a.m.

We will be your way in less than one month!
